Today is going to be a really fun day here on my blog. After searching through my blog archives, I found 7+ Shabby Chic Decoupage Projects. Each is unique and not thought of as a decoupage craft.
It’s that time of year when we are purging, organizing and redecorating our homes. There is a simple solution that helps organize and creates a lovely atmosphere in our homes. Using Baskets In The Home, not only helps organize our belongings, but adds texture and is appealing to the eye.

At Grandma and Grandpa’s house on Christmas Eve, our imaginations would go wild. As we sat by the Christmas tree with twinkling lights and the train going around and around the tree. The train whistle would blow and some how smoke would blow out of the stack.
It was magical and wondrous. Grandpa would play Christmas carols on the piano, the turkey was cooking in the oven and the rolls were rising on the counter.
The vintage pieces that I am drawn to are chippy, worn and colorful. Everything from colorful to faded and torn with some glitter thrown it there too.

Laying a cable knit throw blanket over large fluffy pillows was the first way to add a little ambiance to our Thanksgiving. Sitting on the floor in front of our farmhouse coffee table, is a comfy way to enjoy our luscious meal.
A simple addition for texture and color was to use embroidered cloth napkins. Each one was made by my grandmother. I like bringing in a touch of family memories to our table.
The addition of eucalyptus leaves, gives a sense of bringing the outdoors in. The pumpkins were purchased orange. I used Fusion Mineral Paint to add the color I wanted.
The eucalyptus candles are probably my favorite piece on the table. (I will have a tutorial for those in tomorrow’s blog post.) You always need candles for an intimate meal, right?
With a few colorful mini lights, we have touches that are not necessary, but always worth the time and effort.
While it will be quiet and not what we are used to-24 grand babies running around, plus 14 grown ups talking and reminiscing-it will be the perfect Thanksgiving for me and my man.
Thanks for joining me today. I always enjoy your visits.
Now, if you would take some time-I would love for you to visit my blogging friends. Each one has a unique style for a Thanksgiving tablescape. You are SURE to be inspired!

During Fall I love to blend orange and blue together. The combination is soothing and a beautiful contrast from the typical oranges, reds and golden colors. You will be inspired from the blue ideas, crafts and design style from this post. Incorporating Blue Into Fall Decor has become one of my most clever ways decorate.

Fall will officially be here in just a few days. It is time for me to celebrate a new season filled with beautiful colors and new details.
The Inspiration Monday Party Girls are bringing their weekly linky party over to Instagram, too (like two parties in one). We all just LOVE Instagram and thought this would be a fun way to get folks who don’t have a blog, or who only prefer to post over there, involved in our favorite INSPIRING day of the week! We’ve already used our hashtag for awhile, but now we want you to use it, too. Here’s how to play…
Tag all of your hosts:
@redheadcandecorate, @refreshrestyle, @meeganmakes, @inspirationformoms, @oursouthernhome, @scatteredmom, @ishouldbemoppingthefloor
Add the tag #InspirationMondayParty to all of your inspiring favorites throughout the week. Next weekend, we will each pick our faves and feature them on IG and at our weekly linky party on all seven blogs. We can’t wait for you to inspire us over there, too!
