Good Morning!!  It’s a beautiful day and I am excited to share a DIY Pottery Barn Knock Off Net Ceramic Vase.  While I was in Oregon visiting our daughter, she had a brain storm of an idea.  She loves browsing through the Pottery Barn catalogs, and she came across a Net Ceramic Stool for $179.  She loved the look, but not the price.

Her solution to that was this:

Pottery Barn Vase

Let me show you how she did it…

She bought a white plastic type vase from the thrift store for $3 and a basketball net for around $3 as well.  I know, ingenious, right?

She began by slipping the base of the vase through the smallest end of the net and attaching it with hot glue to the bottom of the vase.

While pulling the net tight, hot glue was placed under every knot.

The largest end of the net was left for the top of the vase.  She followed the knots all the way to the rim of the vase, hot gluing each one.

After the hot glue was cooled, she began trimming the ends, both on the rim and bottom of the vase.

Looks pretty good so far, right?

Then it was time for the spray paint.  She chose a white glossy enamel spray paint.

When the paint was dry it was time to fill the new DIY Pottery Barn Knockoff Net Ceramic Vase full of fresh peonies.

I know!  How cool is this??  Her very own DIY Pottery Barn Knockoff Net Ceramic Vase for under $7!!  She also made the refrigerator magnets with vintage broaches and pins.

As you can tell we had a lot of fun with projects while I was there.  I will be sharing more of my Oregon trip with you over the next few days.

Pottery Barn Inspired Vase

I hope you are inspired to make your own DIY Pottery Barn Knockoff Net Ceramic Vase.  Let me know when you do, I would love to see it!

Make it a great day!

What a clever idea, so creative. We have an expression in the UK “a chip of the old block” do you have that too? Your daughter is definitely a chip of the old block (not that you are old of course, oh dear I’m digging myself a hole now!)
