I am so happy to have you here today.  I can’t wait to share this recipe for a divine asparagus and pasta meal.  It’s great for the summertime, because you can it eat hot or cold. Nummers times 100!

Fresh Asparagus and Penne Pasta Meal from meeganmakes.com

 {Meegan’s Asparagus and Pasta Meal}

Ingredients:

1-1 lb box penne pasta

2-3 cloves minced, fresh garlic

Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Butter (don’t use margarine)

Red pepper flakes

4-5 cups fresh asparagus, sliced diagonally into 2-3 inch pieces

freshly grated Parmesan cheese

Cook pasta until al dente.  In a separate pan, heat olive oil and butter until butter is melted.

Saute’ garlic in olive oil and butter until garlic begins to infuse the oil, it takes about 15 seconds. You will begin to smell the garlic as it releases into the oil. (Be careful not to burn garlic, as it tends to be very bitter when overcooked.)

Add a pinch of red pepper into oil (the amount depends on your taste)

Add asparagus to oil and garlic and saute’ until tender crisp.

Pour oil, pepper flakes, garlic, butter and asparagus onto the hot pasta.

Add the grated Parmesan cheese and toss lightly.

It’s divine served hot or at room temperature.

Adding sliced grill chicken on top of this dish makes it a heartier meal.

A Divine Asparagus and Pasta Meal

The flavors combined have a warm and nutty flavor.  I crave this all the time.  So easy, quick AND divine.  You will want to serve a divine asparagus and penne pasta meal to your family this Summer for sure!

Mona’s Homemade Ice Cream

July 6, 2013 By Meegan 23 Comments

I say this all the time… You definitely will want this for your recipe file. BUT, you REALLY will. Let’s get started…When I first met my hubby, I always heard about Mona’s homemade ice cream.  (Mona is his mom.)

My family made homemade ice cream, too.  They would make the custard, cook it, then take hours to make it.  Eh-I never really liked it.  I was not a fan.  But, of course I ate it.  It was ICE CREAM, right??

Then my eyes and taste buds were opened to MONA’S:

The Easiest Raspberry Lemonade Ever

June 26, 2013 By Meegan 5 Comments

Happy Wednesday!  With the Summer warmth and weather upon us, it’s time for me to reveal the Easiest Raspberry Lemonade ever recipe to you!!

Hubby and I enjoy lemonade so much, we served at our wedding reception.  People loved it on that hot, August evening.

Okay, so are you ready for the easiest, most delicious, refreshing , easiest Raspberry Lemonade ever recipe??

It is 2 ingredients.  Yep, that’s it.

The Easy Raspberry Lemonade

No cooking syrups ahead of time, no waiting for the syrup to cool.  Just 2 simple ingredients with a glass full of tart and sweet deliciousness.

{Meegan’s Raspberry Lemonade}

Frozen Raspberries

Chilled Lemonade

Make the lemonade of your choice-frozen concentrate, powdered, or fresh squeezed.  Fresh squeezed is always my first choice.

Chill until very cold.

Pour into a chilled glass.

Add as many frozen raspberries as you like. I like a large handful.

Easiest Raspberry Lemonade

As you drink, the raspberries will thaw out and fill your lemonade with raspberry goodness.

The tart lemonade with the sweet raspberries on a Summer day is one of the most refreshing drinks I have had.

Then for a treat, as you drink, you have bites into a juicy, flavor-filled raspberry!

Really, isn’t it so easy?

The EASIEST Raspberry Lemonade EVER

I hope you will try the Easiest Raspberry Lemonade Ever VERY soon and let me know what you think.  This is great for that 4th of July party you are planning…Just sayin’

Thanks for stopping by today.  I am always pleased to see you here. I love, love your comments…
