Everyone needs a little bling in their life, huh?
I have had this lamp for about 15 years. I bought a new lamp shade, but it still wasn’t what I wanted. I added the satin rosettes, but still have been looking for something to create the look I was wanting.
It all starts with some stringed crystals that I bought on Amazon.
And some wire. Sound easy?
This is what you will need:
Crystals
Maybe a few stringed crystals
28 gauge galvanized wire
Simply measure the length of your lamp shade.
Cut an 12 inch length of wire, for your longest string.
Fold the wire in half.
String your crystals on the wire.
Attach the wire to the top of the frame of the lamp shade.
For a shorter length, cut a piece of 8 inch wire. And go through the same process of attaching the wire to the lamp shade.
You can add as many crystals as you like for your taste.
I am so pleased with how my lamp came out. Although I MIGHT add a few more strings.
What do you think?
I think these look great because they are real glass.
Wasn’t that easy? How To Add Crystals To A Lamp is fun and looks so elegant for any home.
Do you have a lamp that needs a little extra oomph? Try adding some crystals with wire and you will have a whole new look and atmosphere in your home.
