I’ve Got The Monday Blues-Porches Style

June 17, 2013 By Meegan 4 Comments

It’s a beautiful Summer Monday!  And, I’ve the the Monday Blues-Porches Style.

And oh my goodness, are they ever amazingly gorgeous!! Have you thought of painting your porch ceiling blue?  In the Carolinas, the color was thought to ward off “haints” or evil spirits, so homeowners began using it to paint their porch ceilings.  Hence the name “haint blue” .  Although others believe blue keeps your porch cooler.  Whatever reason you choose to have a blue porch, I LOVE it!!

Whether you have a large small porch or patio, the blues are calming and relaxing.

And, of course, you don’t always have to paint the floor or ceiling.  Simply add a blue and white striped rug for that beachy, cottage feel.

I have been completely inspired and I hope you have too!  I have the Monday Blues-Porch Style, and I can’t wait to work on my balcony to make it a blue haven!!

I’ve Got The Monday Blues-Dining Area

June 10, 2013 By Meegan 2 Comments

Good Morning Monday! And I’ve got the Monday Blues-Dining Area!!  I have the blues every Monday, and today I can hardly wait to share these beautiful, simple, and creative dining areas with YOU.

Before I share my Monday blues with you, I have been in Oregon for the past week.  I am very excited to share my trip this Friday for a Friday Field Trip!  I have gone antiquing thrifting, eating sushi, visited a farmer’s market, shopped at a peony farm, and hugged the grandkids lots and lots!  It has been a great week!  With so much to share with you.

Okay..now on to why you are here today…

Each dining area is unique with it’s own style.  In each photo see what you could apply or incoporate in your own home.

I personally like the simplicity of each of these blue dining areas.  As you look at each blue dining area, you will see a light fixture, rug and/or flooring, and accessories that make all the difference.

Gotta love me some Monday blues~Dining Areas.  So let’s get on with the show…

Let’s take a tour and see what I have found:
