I just love that Valentine’s Day is coming soon!!  That is why I made this Framed Valentine’s Day Marble Art for our shelves.  Super easy and super fun!!  Just use your own imagination to make what you want.

Framed Valentine's Day Marble Art

I started with 3 components:

Elmers School Glue

Scrapbook Paper

Flat Marbles (I bought mine at the Dollar Tree)

Then I decided on a shape or letter:

Using a dab of glue on each marble, I glued them to my paper.  Once it was completely dry, I could frame it.

I painted the fames to match the scrapbook paper.  I couldn’t resist adding some embellishments, and ribbon roses, too.  I then framed my Valentine Marble Art.

My Valentines Shelves

January 31, 2013 By Meegan 7 Comments

I am loving white lately, so it was fun to put together my Valentines Shelves this year!!  Love pink and red together, so this was fun.  I arranged and rearranged until I came up with this:

My Valentine Shelves

These shelves just make me smile.  Simple elements with a touch of color.  Love it!!

My Valentine Shelves

I used one of my thrifted frames and tied red ric rac to it.  I then covered a clothes pin with glue and white glitter.   Cute!! Then clipped this sign I found at the 99 cent store 2 years ago.  I know-how cute is that sign???  My colors and my thoughts exactly!!

My Valentine ShelvesFor the banner I used a larger ric rac.  (Gotta love me some ric rac!)  I made hearts from scrap-book paper and felt.  Easy!!

My Valentine Shelves

These little cuties are my fave part!!  Again, I used ric rac and to keep with the white theme,  and I added white coconut jellies.

Loving the ric rac for added red color.

My Valentine Shelves

“Cherish'” is just right for Valentines day, don’t you think??  The pink candle holder is a thrift find.  I found it as metallic rainbow colors and painted it with my craft paints from Joann’s to match the dove on the top shelf.  The final touch on the candle??  Ric rac, of course!!

Can’t you just feel the love??

Floral Wire Valentine Hearts

January 29, 2013 By Meegan 13 Comments

I went to the Dollar Tree to find a Valentine craft to make.  I really wasn’t inspired until I saw this floral wire, and made my Floral Wire Valentine Hearts!

Floral Wire Valentine Hearts

Yep, this wire was at the Dollar Tree…Yay!!  I really got excited.  They had lots of different colors: blue, red, green, yellow, etc…  I found this in the silk flower section.

How cute are these with my blue and green glass jars???

Even though the wire looks thick, it is very pliable and easy to work with.  I unrolled the wire a little at a time.

I made a loop and then bent the center of the loop to make a heart shape.  I didn’t want them to be perfect hearts.  A little misshaped was okay by me.

Here they are on my vintage craft cupboard.

I love the small touch of pink, too.  (The small votive was also at Dollar Tree, cute, huh?)

One more look because they are so cute.

So fun to add a little love around your home with these super easy floral wire Valentine hearts.  I hope you make some soon, too!!

Thanks for stopping by today and making my day!!
