My Fourth of July Wreath

July 3, 2013 By Meegan 4 Comments

Since 4th of July is tomorrow, I thought it might be fitting if I share My Fourth of July Wreath.  Gotta love me some red, white and blue!!

I headed over to Hobby Lobby since most of the fabric was on sale-Yay!!  I purchased 1/2 yard big red polka dots and 1/2 yard small navy blue polka dot fabric.  I had no idea what I would do with it until I got home.

My Fourth of July Wreath

I have an 12 inch straw wreath, some vintage lace, and some burlap that I was thinking about incorporating, somehow.

Hmmm…what should I do???

My Fourth of July Wreath

Since I like raw edges, I tore 4 inch strips from the width of each fabric.

I wrapped the navy blue polka dot fabric around 2/3 rds of the wreath.  I cut 3 inch strips of burlap to wrap around the other 3rd of the wreath, hot gluing each end as I held the fabric tight.

My Fourth of July Wreath

Using the red polka dot strip, I used a gathering stitch along the length of my fabric.  I gathered the fabric very carefully as not to break the thread.  I gathered it so tight that it made a rosette.  Using hot glue I attached it on the burlap.  I found an antique button to hot glue in the middle of the rosette.  Love it!!

Tying a loop with the vintage lace I now had a hanger for my wreath.

Doesn’t she look so patriotic on our front door?

With a few strips of fabric, a wreath and some burlap, I was able to create my Fourth of July Wreath.  Such a cinch with a big impact.

Thanks for stopping by to visit today.  I truly am grateful.

The Easiest Raspberry Lemonade Ever

June 26, 2013 By Meegan 5 Comments

Happy Wednesday!  With the Summer warmth and weather upon us, it’s time for me to reveal the Easiest Raspberry Lemonade ever recipe to you!!

Hubby and I enjoy lemonade so much, we served at our wedding reception.  People loved it on that hot, August evening.

Okay, so are you ready for the easiest, most delicious, refreshing , easiest Raspberry Lemonade ever recipe??

It is 2 ingredients.  Yep, that’s it.

The Easy Raspberry Lemonade

No cooking syrups ahead of time, no waiting for the syrup to cool.  Just 2 simple ingredients with a glass full of tart and sweet deliciousness.

{Meegan’s Raspberry Lemonade}

Frozen Raspberries

Chilled Lemonade

Make the lemonade of your choice-frozen concentrate, powdered, or fresh squeezed.  Fresh squeezed is always my first choice.

Chill until very cold.

Pour into a chilled glass.

Add as many frozen raspberries as you like. I like a large handful.

Easiest Raspberry Lemonade

As you drink, the raspberries will thaw out and fill your lemonade with raspberry goodness.

The tart lemonade with the sweet raspberries on a Summer day is one of the most refreshing drinks I have had.

Then for a treat, as you drink, you have bites into a juicy, flavor-filled raspberry!

Really, isn’t it so easy?

The EASIEST Raspberry Lemonade EVER

I hope you will try the Easiest Raspberry Lemonade Ever VERY soon and let me know what you think.  This is great for that 4th of July party you are planning…Just sayin’

Thanks for stopping by today.  I am always pleased to see you here. I love, love your comments…

Make it a wonderful Wednesday!
