Field Trip Friday-Thrifted Finds

January 24, 2014 By Meegan 2 Comments

[slideshow_deploy id=’6144′]

It’s time for Field Trip Friday-Thrifted Finds!!  How are you this fin Friday??? Are you freezing, snowed in, or enjoying the warm sun???  I am in-between all of those.  The sun is shining but it is in the 30s here at night.  (I know, that is not THAT cold, but it is for me)

I am SO excited to show you my thrifts finds from this week!  So let’s start…

field trip fridayAs soon as I saw this beauty of a chair, I KNEW I needed it.  But where would I put it?

I want a new chair in the living room.  You know, like a statement chair.  With a print in the colors that I like.

This chair definitely has personality.  Look at those holes across the back, and the curved lines.  This chair wanted to come home with me.

But, it wasn’t quite the statement chair I was hoping for.  Oh!  But wait!  I want a new computer  desk chair.  And, for $15…

a good paint job, and recovering the seat-this will be an amazing computer desk chair, don’t you think???  I am excited to clean my new chair up and give her a nice, fresh look.

You all know how much I like to collect blue or green glass bottles, right???  Well, how I could I resist these lovelies?

The wide one on the right is a new shape for me.  I don’t have one like it.  Loved the price at $1.50, too.

This canning jar is not a mason jar, but the bubbles in the glass caught my eye.  And that doesn’t even matter if it is vintage or not.  I am loving the texture and bubbles in this jar.

After the thrift store I went to REstore looking for some tile for my table.  I found lots of tile I really liked.  But, realized I need Hubby to come with me, so he could measure how much I need.

BUT, I did spot these crystals or prisms.  Oh, I will have some fun using these in the near future!!

Thanks for joining me for Field Trip Friday-Thrifted Finds today!  I am truly blessed to have each and everyone of you visit here.  Thanks for your overwhelming support and comments.

Join me here again NEXT Friday for Field Trip Friday with Debbie Doos!!

Field Trip Friday with Dria from DIO Home Improvements

It’s Friday!!  And, you know what that means, right??  Yep, you guessed it!!  It’s…

field trip friday

Today my sweet friend, Dria is sharing here to  show us a few of HER favorite projects.  Take it away Dria!!

Hi, my name is Dria and I blog over at DIO Home Improvements! I’m so happy to be here today sharing three of my favorite projects with you. Thank you so much Meegan!

My refrigerator is about 6 years old and it had started yellowing. No matter what product I used on it to clean, it still wouldn’t come out bright white like the rest of my appliance. With a little fear I jumped in and painted it with Rust-Oleum appliance paint! You can read all about that here (p.s. I would do this in a heartbeat again it was so easy!)

My favorite furniture project was making a bench using plumbers pipes! This was one of the easiest projects I have ever done! I wanted a bench near my side door in the kitchen to kick our shoes off and drop some bags this piece has worked out so well. You can go here for the full tutorial!

Those are my two favorite home improvement projects but before I leave I would love to share a New Years craft with you all! If you haven’t already planned out a little New Years decorations feel free to hop over to my site for some New Years Printables here!

Meegan thank you so much for inviting me to share some of my favorite projects with you and your readers, it has been such a pleasure to be with you all today! Happy Holidays and may 2014 be a wonderful year for you all! – Dria @ DIO

Dria is talented in so many ways.  Please pay her blog a visit and be sure to tell her I sent you.  She is also a great blogging friend.  When I had the flu,  the week before Christmas, she offered to write a post for me so I could get better.   I am blessed and grateful to know her. Thanks for being here today, Dria.

Thanks again, for joining me today for Field Trip Friday with Dria from DIO Home Improvements.  It is my pleasure to have you here.
