I’ve Got The Monday Blues

Hello Hello!! I’ve got the Monday Blues!! Even though I am visiting a new grand baby, the Monday blues hits me every time!! Every Monday I share the blues that catch my eye during the previous week.

Since I have so many relatively new followers, I thought it would be fun to share some of my have blues in our home.

First, one of the blues in our home is in the laundry closet I made this pair of mod-podge stenciled birdies just for the laundry area. Everytime I open the doors, these birds make me smile.

I am loving this blue lamp. My sweet friend bought me some blue paint and the first thing I wanted to do was to paint my lamp. She looks pretty with my DIY floral lampshade.

I like silhouettes, don’t you? These 3 frames were black until I got to them. They fit perfectly on the tiny wall in our office. (Yes, the silhouettes are our 7 kids as children)

This corsage is my favorite, because I love the ribbon color, and the scent of fresh flowers in our home while I am doing bridal flowers.

I get some many compliments on this wall. This is also in our office. I love empty frames, and decided to paint the frames blue to add to our decor.

I've got the Monday Blues

My blue birdcage looks amazing in our guest bathroom. When I received her as a gift from my father, I couldn’t help but add blue to her already beautifulness. I have tiny white lights in her all year long, so when we have guests they see my pretty blue birdcage.

I hope you have enjoyed the Monday Blues as much as I enjoyed sharing them with you today. Blue always make me smile and gives me such a calm and relaxing feeling.

I’ve Got The Monday Blues

I’ve got the Monday Blues-no, I really do…We spent the whole weekend with 4 of our children and their babies. We were with 10 grandbabies this weekend-and we had a blast! We swam, ate, laughed, cried, ate, played games, ate, cuddled, and had the best time!! So, I kinda have the blues after they left to go home. BUT, we had a great time!! And now…

Woot Woot!! I’ve Got The Monday Blues!! I am very excited for these amazing blues to share with you on this Blue Monday!!

Look at this adorable blue vanity. After Nicki painted her vanity, it went from drab to fab. Did you see the fluffy lampshade, too?? Just the right touch!! To see more visit: Sweet Parrish Place.

Using various colors of yarn, Kate from Creative Living transformed her lampshade! The blue, gray and white accent her painting perfectly.

Erica writes with Spoonful of Imagination. With work, paint, and sanding Erica made over a drawerless dresser into a beautiful blue piece for her home. And don’t you love the yellow drawer pulls??

Brooke from All Things Thrifty shares her new blue kitchen and accessories. From the blue chairs, to the blue walls, and the blue chalkboard frame, and not to forget the light fixture-this room is so inviting.

Make it a blue Monday!!

Beach Bench Makeover Again and Again and Again!

I am really lucky that my friends know my taste. When one of my friends was moving, she gave me this beach beach-which I love!! Since then, I have given this beach bench a makeover again, and again, and again!!

When my friend gave me the beach bench, it was natural. That didn’t last long-when I was going through an “everything red” phase, I painted her red. She looked lovely on our front porch. I smiled every time I saw her.

We then moved into a different home. I got on a kick when I really wanted to see this bench in lime green-and so it was. Again, looking great with plants and a few pillows on our front porch.

We have since moved into a condo. There isn’t a large enough front porch to hold my beach bench. So, I set her out on our balcony. It is a nice balcony, but still not enough room to sit back and enjoy my beach bench.

And I also changed her color once again!! This time: BHG Teal Lake. Love it!!

Since there really wasn’t enough room on the balcony, I decided to bring her in.

I gathered items to make a “reading nook”. I found the bench cushion at Pier 1 to blend with my new colors. She looks happy, don’t you think??

Well, she lasted in that spot for about a year, and now she has found her final home at the foot of our bed.

The cushion was getting faded and worn, so I covered the cushion with an antique quilt from Hubby’s dad. I also added a pillow (another Pier 1 item) that was inspiration for all the blues now in our home. The beach bench still looks great inside and is perfect when Hubby puts his shoes on for the day.

Do you move or change your furniture as much as I do?? I have fun painting and moving items around. Especially my beach bench makeover again, and again, and again!!

You gotta love Mondays!! Even if you’ve got the Monday Blues, like I do! This week I am thrilled to be sharing some unique ideas and creativity with blues. Don’t you just love people with so much talent?? I sure do!! They make me smile, inspire me and my own creativity.

And, let the Monday Blues begin!!!

First off let’s start with this lovely blue table!! This vintage table has been updated with blue paint, and looks fabulously done. The worn look is perfect for this style and aged table. It also is a great addition in Kimber’s home.

This table blew my mind!! It was a full table and was transformed into a smaller side table. Again, the aged blue paint looks amazing on this style!! And then the stenciling-Love it!!South of France Furniture Studio

This gorgeous blue buffet was refreshed by Atta Girl Says. I LOVE the white accents on the buffet. Along with additions of more white and silver; including the mirror, plant pot, and candlesticks. The Dedicated House spray painted her wicker loveseat for a nice refresh for the upcoming Summer months. And along with a new seat cover, she is set!! Blue Awesomeness!!

Lastly, Vintage Charm Restored decoupaged the front of her drawers on this pretty blue desk. Doesn’t it look updated and trendy, now?? Vintage Charm Restored has many more samples of her blues. You will love them as much as I did!!
