I have a special post for you today from my dear friend, Julie from Redhead can Decorate. She has been honored to have her home featured in Cottages & Bungalows Fall Tour.
Julie received an e-mail from the editor of Cottages & Bungalows.
In the email, the editor asked if Julie would be interested in having our home photographed the following week for next years (2016) Cottages & Bungalows Fall Home Tour edition. She was referring to the week of Thanksgiving! You know, the week all the Fall stuff goes bye bye and you start preparing for Christmas. So, she had a big decision to make. At first she thought, no way. She can’t do it. Then she slept on it.
And, she is glad she did. Here is the result from the photo shoot and the magazine feature…
Julie’s home is both warm and welcoming.
I never would have thought of using a scarf for decorating a banister, would you? I love the flowing feel and addition of fall leaves.
Can you tell Julie likes to collected silver platters? Such a stunning way to create a gallery wall.
Recently, Julie and her husband Rick added the brick back splash behind their stove. I like this rustic look, don’t you?
The details of the plank wood ceiling are one of my favorite features in Julies bedroom.
Can you believe that Julie painted the “rug” in her bathroom? Such a lovely idea.
Isn’t her home gorgeous? I knew you would have fun taking a Cottage Bungalow Fall Tour of Julie’s home. Congratulations on the feature in Cottage and Bungalows Magazine, my friend. Well, earned and deserved.
To be inspired by Julie even more, subscribe to her blog here. Be sure to tell her I sent you. (Smile)
Have a great day, everyone.
