Visiting a Local Pumpkin Patch and Apple Orchard

September 20, 2024 By Meegan Leave a Comment

You wouldn’t think, but there is a 60 acre pick and pay Orchard in Las Vegas. Visiting a Local Pumpkin Patch and Apple Orchard is a fun activity and always on my “Fall Bucket List”.

Gilcrease Orchard has been developed in the Vegas Valley longer than most residents. It is a year long vegetable patch, apple, peach and pear orchard, squash, pumpkin patch and so much more…

There is so much to see, you could easily spend 2-3 hours exploring each and every area.

The sunflowers grow in perfect rows and are available for picking during Summer and Fall. With every variety you could imagine. The cost varies depends on availability.

It’s hard to resist a lovely sunflower or more!

In the Fall, SO many various apples are available for “pick and pay”. Apples and other stone fruit are sold by weight.

Sweet, juicy, fresh and so pretty to decorate for the season, too.

AND the Pumpkin Patch! It is overwhelmingly beautiful. As you walk in, there are acres and acres of pumpkins. It truly is a Fall/Autumn lovers dream.

Intertwined in the pumpkins are colorful squash, zucchini, gourds in every size and shape.

Gilcrease Orchard has wheelbarrows available for carrying your collection.

Once I got home it was time to “style” the apartment cottage porch with pumpkins and gourds.

Our apartment complex had a Fall porch contest. And guess what? I won! It was fun and I give Gilcrease Orchard all the credit.

Oh! Did I mention there there are photo ops, hay rides, apple cider donuts, fresh apple cider,  and a corn maze?

BTW-this isn’t a paid post. Just an adventure and activity I look forward to every Fall. Thanks for joining me as I was Visiting a Local Pumpkin Patch and Apple Orchard.

Make it a wonderful day…
