Living Room Book Shelves

I love these book shelves for many reasons.  The first is the colors, blue and white.  (And, yes, I  painted them myself.)

Field Trip Friday, Union Station Los Angeles

January 16, 2015 By Meegan Leave a Comment

Happy Friday!  It’s one of my favorite days of the week.  I am excited to share Field Trip Friday, Union Station Los Angeles today.  Hubby and I spent most of the week down in California.  We visited with his 89 year old dad and some of our grandkiddos.

While were were there we took a day trip to Union Station, Los Angeles and Olvera Street.

I was glad I had my camera for pictures of the grandkiddos. THEN when I saw the architecture of the building, I KNEW YOU needed to see it, too.

On The Road to SOFAB

January 8, 2015 By Meegan Leave a Comment

I am SO excited!  I am going to my FIRST blog conference.  I have been trying to attend one since I first started my blog.

Now I am On The Road to SOFAB…

The session I am attending is in Los Angeles, on January 30th.

Did you know that bloggers do more that post on their blogs?  They have to learn HOW TO write a post, take pictures, learn the ins and outs of social media, keywords, etc…

With interactive and hands on sessions, I am going to learn a lot.  The sessions are paired with fun city-specific adventures where I will put my newly learned skills to the test.  EEP!

The Q&A session will feature Alea Milham from Premeditated Leftovers.  Alea will talk specifically to us about SEO and social media.

The conference will be held at Speed Zone LA in the City of Industry, with Johnny Rockets catering for the day. (Nummers!)

If you are a blogger and want to attend in LA with lots of other fabulous bloggers, you can register here: SOFAB On The Road  There are also conferences in Atlanta, Bentonville, Chicago, Cincinnati, Dallas, Miami, Minneapolis, New York City, Phoenix, and Seattle.  Check here for the FULL schedule, dates and venues.

So, in the next few weeks I will be preparing to learn, grow, and have some fun  On The Road to SOFAB.

Wish me luck…

Simplify

January 1, 2015 By Meegan 1 Comment

My last post was all about my word of the year for 2014-REACH.  This year I have chosen my focus word to be “simplify”.

I thought long and hard about what I wanted my focus to be for 2015.  This seemed to be exactly what I need right now in my life.
