Toasted Almond Russian Tea Cakes

I am always baking cookies and pies for our family. I LOVE baking for them. BUT, THIS recipe for Toasted Almond Russian Tea Cakes is their ALL-Time favorite.

I know this recipe traditionally call for walnuts or pecans. I am now allergic to both of those nuts. So, I don’t purchase them very often. One Christmas baking season, I only had raw, sliced almonds. So, I thought I might as well give it a try. They have been the family fave ever since!!

Another thing about this cookie-I ONLY use REAL vanilla & butter. It makes all the difference in the flaky texture and buttery flavor.

Fall is the time when we start thinking about yummy comfort foods. Some of them are savory and some are sweet. Today I am sharing a recipe for a sweet comfort food-“Chocolate Peanut Butter Marshmallow Treats”. This has long been a family fave.

No sooner do I pour it into a 8×8 dish, and it is gone! I am sure it will be the same for your family, as well.

Now, doesn’t this look like it will melt in your mouth? Mmmm, mmmm…Oooey, Gooey Goodness!

Oh my goodness-it is time for “The Best of What Meegan Makes” finale!! I have had so much fun sharing your favorite posts this week! It has been a joy to share just a small part of my first year blogging.

I love (well, kinda) looking back at those first few posts. The photography was so bad, and the content was sometimes a real stretch , at best. But through working, supportive friends, great sponsors and incredible followers I have been able to grow my blog and my viewership. I am a blessed woman. Thanks so much for your support and help.
