We were out in the desert hiking through the gorgeous red clay mountains just outside of Las Vegas. My cute grand daughter found a rustic stick and gave it to me. My grand kids know me so well. If it’s old, a rock, sea shell, or stick, I want it. I know, that is kinda silly of me. But, it is what I like and I LOVE that each and every one of the kids in my family know that. Hi everyone! I have neglected to tell you about Moving Into My New “Cottage In The Desert” apartment. I have been documenting the process, and gradually sharing it on my Instagram account, but haven’t been sharing it here on my blog.

The temperature is warming up and I am spending most of my days poolside. You know how I love to be outside and feel the sun rays on my face. It is really nice to be in our new home. Things are coming together and I am enjoying the decorating process. I am also enjoying the fact that we have a REAL porch. We did have a tiny balcony before. I tried to turn it into an inviting space. But, my vision never really came to fruition. I had visions of what I wanted here even before we moved in. Let me share some of my DIY Apartment Summer Porch Ideas for our new home.
