Bedroom Preparations For Holiday Guests

December 10, 2015 By Meegan 15 Comments

This post was sponsored by Perfect Linens. Opinions are completely mine.

Are you having guests this Holiday season? Are they staying with YOU? Sometimes that can be stressful on top of everything else. BUT I have a few tips for Bedroom Preparations for Holiday Guests, that I think will help you.Bedroom Preparations For Holiday Guests by meeganmakes.com

Okay, let’s start a list of what YOU can do ahead of time as you start Bedroom Preparations For Holiday Guests.

First things, first. Vacuum or mop the floor in the guest bedroom. Under and around the bed.

Dust the furniture. Pick up accessories and dust under them, not around.

With vinegar or your favorite glass cleaner, clean the mirrors and windows. Newspaper works best for this.

Wash your bed linens. Blankets and quilts included.

OR purchase a new set of sheets.

Fresh Sheets for Guests

I found my sheets from Perfect Linens. Of course, I had to have the blue stripe to go with my bedroom decor.

Bedroom Preparations for Holiday Guests

I was impressed with the fact that Perfect Linens Second Skin sheets are 400 thread-count Egyptian cotton construction is mid-weight, and their most supple sheet. They really feel like silk. REALLY.

Fresh Sheets for Holiday Guests

Launder Second Skin sheets separately in warm warm (no bleach) to help keep the integrity of the fabric. Of course, never wash with jeans or even towels.

Bedroom Ideas

You only have to use half the amount of detergent. Such a plus!

Preparing a Bedroom for Guests

(They also include a 2 oz bottle of Linen Wash, which preserves the fine linen fibers.)

Guest Room for the Holidays

Dry your sheets on low. No fabric softeners or dryer sheets are needed for your sheets. This will leave a waxy residue on the Second Skin sheet set.

Remove from the dryer and put on your bed SLIGHTLY damp. Yes, DAMP. The fabric continues to dry while you smooth out the wrinkles.

Perfect Linens Second Skin Sheets

They are unlike microfiber/poly sheets. Second Skin sheets are airy and it don’t cling. Ideal for Winter OR Summer. The perfect sheet for the best sleep.

Guest Room Sheets

A few other tidbits about Perfect Linens:

They are the ONLY website that sells JUST sheets.

They use object tests on their sheets like NASA and Nike. Cool, huh?

They wash, then rewash their sheets and inform their customers how the sheets will feel after time.

The sheets are so pretty. I have super sensitive skin and can’t use fabric softeners, so it’s great to hear that none is needed to keep these sheets soft and comfy.
