I am so happy to have you here today. If you are visiting from A Pumpkin and A Princess, A VERY hearty welcome! I am happy to be a part of the Balsam Hill Countdown to Christmas blog hop, this year.
I am happy to share MY Musical Advent Calendar from Balsam Hill,
Christmas is…
I have so many things that run through my mind when I read that phrase. I have many wonderful memories of Christmas Eve and Christmas.
When I was a small child we would spend Christmas Eve with my mom’s family. We would go to Grandpa and Grandma’s house. The home would be filled with excitement. The turkey was in the oven, the tree lights were twinkling, the mantel was displayed with a village, the train was traveling around the Christmas tree. and Grandpa was playing Christmas carols on the black upright piano. It sounds magical, doesn’t it? Well, I can tell you, it REALLY was. There was so much love in that home filled for anyone, and everyone who entered there in.
Since I had such loving and giving grandparents, I wanted to be that kind of grandparent, as well. You may not know, but I have 7 children and 24 grand-babies. I KNOW, I am so very blessed.
That is why I HAD to have the Musical Advent Calendar from Balsam Hill. It has 24 doors-enough for each grand baby to have a chance to open a door.
The doors open large enough to place ornaments, my vintage angels or one of my Nativity sets in each door.
Every time you open a door a Christmas Carol plays. Click on the video so you can see how fun it is from yourself.

Can you see WHY I wanted this for our grand-babies? It is magical, just like Christmas Eve at Grandpa and Grandma’s house. Now I can create similar memories for our own grand-babies.
I hope you have enjoyed being here today. I would LOVE to hear about YOUR definition of Christmas is…
And, again, don’t forget to enter the contest with Balsam Hill Countdown to Christmas today.
Next on the Balsam Hill Blog Hop is Angie with Postcards From the Ridge. Her blog is wonderful to visit and full of inspiration.
Make it a lovely day, my friends.

That musical advent calendar really is magical, and I’m sure your grandchildren will be delighted to open its doors. I enjoyed reading about Christmas Eve at your grandparents’ house. That’s what we’re trying to create here at the Crossroads-wonderful memories for the grandchildren!

Christmas is… Family, friends, centered around my southern traditions from decades past. Food always takes center stage. Along with our Christian faith..then football. Maybe a nap.
