Feather and Tea Cup Christmas Tree

November 2, 2020 By Meegan 16 Comments

I am excited to show you my Feather and Tea Cup Christmas Tree filled with thrifted tea cups.

The tea cup lover in me couldn’t resist make a Feather and Tea Cup Christmas Tree. AND, it happens to be one of my favorite trees.

While out thrifting for vintage tea cups, I came up with designing a Memory Tree. And I LOVED it. It was my favorite tree, so far…Memory Christmas Tree 2015

My creative juices were flowing and I was anxious to design a Christmas tree with tea cups.

Christmas Tree with Tea Cups

I found so many tea cups at the thrift store. Using a wired ribbon to attach them to my tree branches, it couldn’t have been easier. I like this idea, don’t you?

Blue Christmas Tree

What if I added blue ornaments and iridescent tinsel to the cup, too? (I found it at Hobby Lobby last year for 10 cents a bag. That’s my kind of deal.)Feather & Tea Cup Christmas Tree

I was on a roll. Blue ornaments, iridescent tinsel, and a few silver feathers was exactly what I wanted. But, I wanted to take it a one step further.

Feather Christmas Tree

I bought a feather boa from Amazon. Once it arrived, I cut it into 6 inch-12 inch pieces.

I LOVE the feathers. They kind of look like soft fallen snow.

To top off the tree I added a 10 inch crystallized wreath. Doesn’t it look fabulous with the feathers?

Can I just tell you I had SO much fun creating a NEW tree with just a few changes?

I couldn’t be more pleased with how it turned out. Creating a Feather and Tea Cup Christmas Tree was just what my creative juices needed.

I never touched the Memory Tree, UNTIL I thought about a Feather and Tea Cup Christmas Tree. THEN, it was time to move ornaments, feathers, and tea cups. Adding a few vintage tea cups made all the difference with a new style for my tiny cottage condo.

I hope you have be inspired to create your own Feather and Tea Cup Christmas Tree, as well.

Thanks for joining me today.

Your memory tree was a great idea…but I LOVE the feather and teacup tree!! I once owned a tea room and did a similar tree. My teacups are put away right now….I need to get them out…could be a memory teacup tree. Lol
