Christmas Tree in an Olive Bucket by meeganmakes.com

Let me show you how I was able to create my own Christmas Olive Bucket.

I am lucky enough to have a husband that knows me well. He came home one night with a true vintage olive bucket as a surprise for me. I was thrilled, as you can imagine.

Meeganmakes.com Christmas Olive Bucket

Don’t you love when you get such fun surprises? My Olive Bucket is quite large. About 2 1/2 feet tall. So I wanted it to be a statement piece.

Vintage Olive Oil Christmas Decorating

I filled it with:

1-small Christmas tree

a string of twinkle lights

5-large Christmas picks

pine cones

1-strand of pine garland

apple wood sticks

Vintage Olive Can for Christmas

I strung the lights around the the base of the tree and then placed it in the olive bucket. I like how the lights shine through the olive bucket slits, don’t you?

Once the tree was set, I placed the pine garland around the bucket, Using the leftover lights I wrapped them through the pine garland.

Decorating a Vintage Oil Bucket

Once that was set, I placed in the Christmas picks and pine cones.

Then it was time for the apple wood sticks. I placed them randomly in the olive bucket. Just the rustic touch that I was hoping for.

So far, on this tour, I have found something in each post that I need. With yours, it is the olive bucket. I am kicking myself for not picking up a couple when they were on clearance at Target! UGH!!! I love how you styled yours for Christmas. So pretty!

I just love your little tree! The past couple of years I’ve been using a galvanized bucket to put our large tree in and I love the look. It reminds me of the simple Scandinavian design that I love so much. Just beautiful!

You are absolutely right, Sarah! It is a Scandinavian style. I am always gravitating towards that as well. Thanks for stopping by. I always enjoy your comments.
