Copy Cat Chandy

January 26, 2013 By Meegan 48 Comments

At Christmas I gave you a tour of our home and some tips on how to decorate under $3.  That’s what I did with my “copy cat” chandy in our bedroom…

I saw this from Oh So Shabby by Debbie:

Copy Cat Chandy

I mean-seriously this is so beautiful, right??  All of the greenery, extra ornaments, and I love the sticks, too.

My dear friend Judi gave me this chandelier last summer.  I know!!  She gave it to me!!  Such an awesome friend.  I could hardly wait to hang it in our bedroom.

Anyway, after being inspired with Debbie’s chandy, I knew I need to add something to my new “pretty”, too.

I just love me a gorgeous chandelier, don’t you??  And did you notice the matching candelabra?  Sweet!

I got to work on my copy cat chandy with a few items I already had.  I gathered everything together and tarted to “play” with my copy cat chandy.

Copy Cat Chandelier

I used tulle, glittered icicles, tree twigs, pearl strings, and greenery that was in my kitchen to make my own:

And, I like it so much, I think I will keep it up all year long!!  I can’t even think of taking it all apart.  I just love this look, don’t you?

The added embellishments are not permanent, so I can add to or change it up any time I want.

So, for zero cost I decked out  my chandy.  All it took was a little imagination and creativity!!

Don’t you just love being able to being some added *bling* to your own pretties every once in awhile??  I sure do!!

Thanks for visiting today!!  I smile when I know you have been by for a visit!!  Come back again soon…

It’s gorgeous, Meegan. In fact, I like yours more than the original which was a bit fussy. Your chandy still shows off the beauty of the fixture but the added greenery and bling step it up a notch. Well done. Thanks for sharing this at the All Star Block party
