Creating a Statement Piece. What does that even mean? To me, it means creating a place in your home that will add interest and reflect your personality.
Gathering the same kind of objects in one place looks like a collection, rather that having them dispersed all around your home, on book shelves, a mantel, or even in a bedroom.
Creating a Statement Piece can be as simple as placing some of your favorite similar pieces all in one place. Just like I did here with my kitchen shelves.
It all started by collecting blue mason jars. Some are thrift finds and others are gifts. Combining them with my blue and white dinnerware pieces, I now have created a statement piece in our kitchen. AND, I get so many compliments about them.
Once I started collecting blue mason jars, I realized how much I enjoyed ANY green or blue clear glass. Everywhere I shopped, including the grocer store, If I spotted a clear green bottle, I had to have it.
I was in the beginnings of Creating a Statement Piece for our home.
Using my grandpa’s vintage croquet box was the ideal vessel for my green bottle collection.
The bottles vary in shapes, sizes, and colors. But together they add personality, texture and diversity.
Adding some greenery is a bonus.
What do YOU collect? Have you created a statement piece with them yet? If so I would LOVE to see pictures or hear all about it.
Creating a Statement Piece is simple and will bring a fresh, clean, new look to your home and living space.
