Decorating a Chandelier for Christmas

December 2, 2025 By Meegan Leave a Comment

Today we are Decorating a Chandelier for Christmas in just a few steps and little money. Follow this tutorial to impress your holiday guests.

While decorating your Christmas tree, you can add Christmas cheer to your chandelier, too.

This year, I chose to match the same colors and style of the main Christmas tree in our apartment cottage.

Starting out with the teal/aqua bulbs I found at a local thrift store…

I COULD NOT believe how many ornaments were in this large bag! Everything from shiny, satin, glitter, pinecones, tiny, medium and large bulbs. Even a couple of stars.

These bulbs actually inspired the Christmas tree and the rest of the room. I will be sharing all of it soon.

Having decorated this chandy for Christmas before, created a vision of what could be incorporated for this year’s theme.

Hanging each round satin and glitter ornament with a “swirly” ornament hook made this so easy and a great start.

Adding frosted greenery, fairy lights and red poinsettias created the look I was hoping for.

There wasn’t any need for glue, wire or stapling. While weaving the greenery in and out to the candle holders and chain helped hold and stabilize it. YOU can do this however YOU like. Whatever looks best to you will be perfect!

Placing a red poinsettia on the candle holder cups adds the touch of red from the Christmas tree style.

Then also weaving fairy lights throughout the greenery adds glam and dimension. (You can get remote controlled lights or battery operated-strategically hiding the switch.)

THE finial mercury glass ornament hanging from the bottom of the chandy was just the “drama” the whole look needed.

What colors do you want to use this year? What style would fit your Christmas decorating this year?

I can’t wait to hear ALL about it! Have a fun time just letting your creative juices flow. Again, whatever YOU like is perfect.
