Hello my friends! And Happy Housewarming!
I don’t know about you, but I have a lot of friends who are moving into a “new to them” home. It is sad to see a friend move. And I don’t like good-byes. But I do like to give them house warming gifts. Nothing fancy, and not necessary, but easy and fun.
This is a sample of what we gave to our kids right after Christmas. They were moving into a college town apartment, sight unseen.

These are a few things I purchased to create a Housewarming Gift Basket.
I thought they might want to clean up just before moving in completely. Make sense?
I like to have my own type of clean-not someone else’s. (I know, maybe a little OCD?)
I found a basket and filled it with cleaning items such as:
Since it is their first home, together, I thought it would be nice to also give them their
first Nativity and a Monogram Christmas ornament.
Nothing fancy, but fun for a new home. They told me they ended up using all of it. I was glad I made an easy housewarming gift for them.
I tied everything up with cellophane, tulle and satin ribbon. It looks makes cleaning look a little more fun that way, don’t you think?

I am sure you have a few ideas of your own. What would you put in your easy housewarming gift?
I have been busy working on our breakfast nook dining set-it is going to be so fun to share it with you! I can’t wait to finish it.
Thanks for stopping by today.

Make it a wonderful Wednesday!

Great idea!! I usually give either kitchen or bathroom stuff for housewarming gifts. I love your idea of cleaning supplies. Everyone always cleans when they move. Thanks for the great idea!!
Great Idea! I have a friend who recently moved, I will have to put together a basket for her new home. ;o)
