Happy Hump Day everyone! Can you believe we are already half way through the week? Me, either. My week has been full, has yours?
I have a couple of friends that I NEED to make gifts for. They have helped me in many ways over the past few years. Each one of them are excellent cooks, so I thought of an EASY Mason Jar Thank You Gift Idea.
I went to my local nursery and bought potted herbs. All of mine happened to be oregano, but you can use anything you want.
Using blue canning jars that I found at the 99 cents Only store, and a couple of Ball mason jars, I planted my herbs.
I carefully tapped and worked out the herbs and all the dirt from the original pot.
I placed the loose dirt at the bottom of the jar.
I then delicately planted the herbs in the jar.
I made strips of burlap 2 inches wide and wrapped each one around a jar. I wrapped my bakers twine around the burlap to hold it onto the jar.
With a Martha Stewart punch, I made flowers and tags from scrapbook paper. I clipped the flowers and tags on the jars with a clothes pin that I used here.
Now was THAT EASY or what???
When I give my friends their gifts, I will be sure to tuck in the growing instructions. That way they can grow their own herbs at home, in the kitchen, or porch.
It was really fun to show you my EASY Mason Jar Thank You Gift Idea. I would love to hear about a twist that you would use on your Mason Jar Thank You Gift Idea.
Thanks, AS ALWAYS for stopping by today.
Make it a wonderful Wednesday!
