This above photo is an older one {you can see the old wall and cabinet colors in the background}, but it shows the kitchen island we redid a while back. It’s been one of my favorite projects that we’ve ever done. Check it out here.
This photo is looking from the kitchen area into the breakfast nook. There’s a lot of projects in here, too. The Chalkboard Backpack Station on the left wall is fabulous for keeping the kids’ backpacks and lunch boxes organized {see the tutorial for it here}. The buffet on the right was a Craigslist find that I refinished here. And then we added open shelving above it here. The faux deer trophies above the windows were super fun to use. And those window treatments are actually faux roman shades, which I did a tutorial on here.
I still have plans to refinish our little table there. This table has some sentimental value, and although a larger one may fit better in this space, this one will be with us forever. I plan to restain the actual table and then paint each chair a different color, in chalk paint. Kind of a Monica Gellar kind of look, huh? :)
Our home office is next to the bathroom. It got a mini makeover here.
And in the hallway is our gallery wall.

OMG! That was so much fun. Kristi…I absolutely love your home. I love how you use your signature turquoise & red throughout the home. It screams happy, and that’s how you are in blog land too! Every room is decorated so beautifully. Some of my favs are the barn door, your red buffet table, the island, your pantry, your sons room, the green desk, the piano…omg stop me. I must tell you though…my ultimate fav is the faux fireplace!! That is a keeper my dear. Thanks Meegan…this was so fun. Pinning!!

Love your Website and the house tour . My kitchen cabinets are the same color as yours and I was always afraid to paint them for fear of ruining them . And then not being sure or maybe it would end up a BIG mistake. I love what you did in the kitchen and the extra shelf above the stove . Kudos to you for being brave to change your kitchen without knowing the results . I love being crafty, but I am not anywhere near crafty to the extent you are . Keep your ideas coming , love to see what everyone else has done . Thank you .
