I have had a black thumb for as long as I can remember. I always thought I was pretty good at growing plants, but now that I have been completely honest, I know I am not good at keeping plants alive. Hopefully I Have a Green Thumb This Time.
I went to our local nursery a few weeks ago looking for a few house plants to liven up our home. An Asparagus fern seemed to be a choice. My mom and grandma always had these growing in their homes, so why couldn’t I, right???
We definitely could use a little green in our home. But, I am always leery, because I don’t want to be disappointed in my efforts.
I first chose this lovely China Doll house plant. She is happy right by the window in our living room.
I have even added my cut green onions for some added green. You may already know, but if you set the roots of green onions in a cup of water, they will continue to grow. Yep, right in your own kitchen, or sunny area in your home. You can cut the tops off and use them in your daily recipes. Awesome, huh???
Having plants in our home has added a new fresh look to our cottage in the desert.
I even bought a succulent to see if I could grow it. So far, it’s doing great in my thrifted tea cup, but time will tell.
Hopefully I Have a Green Thumb This Time.
Cat Claw is one of our favorite outside plants. It is perfect for a topiary and for wall climbing. Each vine had cat claw type stems that hold on to the topiary and/or wall. By mid-Summer our wall will be full of luscious green to greet our visitors.
Do YOU have any houseplants??? They really add a lot of inviting qualities. I have had our plants for 2 weeks now. Hopefully I Have a Green Thumb This Time.
Thanks for stopping by and making my day even brighter. Make it a great day and buy yourself a new house plant.
Make it a meaningful Monday!

I have tried so many plants inside my home, but unfortunately they end up dead. I’m cheering you that you will be successful!!
