It can be a simple accessory OR a piece of furniture. AND, it might take some time. But if you like a cottage look and feel it is worth your time.

How To Add a Cottage Look is as easy as using white as your base color. So simple, right?

Add a few doilies, fresh flowers, slip covers, white vases and dishes and maybe even a column for some cottage touches.

Using vintage pieces always is a great way to add a cottage feel to any home. Like these box springs turned into vases. Tie them with vintage hankies and you have a cottage look. Simple and effective.

Birdhouses and birdcages are always a must. Fill them with fresh or even dried flowers for a beautiful cloche. Perfect for any room, right?

You can even use a chest of drawers that you already have (this one was from Ikea) and transform it into an apothecary chest. Amazing, right?

AND of course, add a chandelier. A chandy can add ambiance and romantic feel. (I see them all the time at thrift stores and consignment shops.) With a little paint, and a few crystals they are a beautiful way to add a cottage feel to any room.

    Thank you for including my apothecary cabinet. I love the look it helps create and how it became a focal point in my guest bathroom, which needed a bit of a cottage feel.
