I Have The Monday Blues with Outdoor Spaces

June 16, 2014 By Meegan 5 Comments

I Have The Monday Blues with Outdoor Spaces, today.  I have been looking and looking at outdoor spaces for weeks.  Our tiny balcony needs a little work and sprucing up.  Hubby and I have a few ideas rolling around our heads, and we are finally able to follow through with some of those thoughts.

A lot of you might have a larger space to work with.  Our balcony is actually about 5′ across and 9′ long at the most.  So we don’t have a lot of room to work with.  But, incorporating some of the inspiration below, we can transform our tiny space into another living space for our condo.

One thing I like about this first outdoor space, is all the living plants.  There is such a great variety along with a rustic feel.

Using the space below as a guide, I am using my own creativity to make my balcony well-balanced.  I have a settee, that I love.  Now to find a rug, along with some comfortable pillows.  That will help bring the look I am hoping for.

I love the look of fabrics outside.  They lend a look of freshness and relaxation.  I am hoping to bring that to my tiny balcony, as well.

Oh my…And this would be a dream.  To have a small dinner party on our balcony.  To me, that would be a highlight.

Another goal is to make our balcony a retreat. A place of relaxation and refuge from the world and troubles of the day.  I love the idea of special accessories hanging on the door and wall, don’t you???

Hopefully by using all the things I love and look forward to in each one of these pictures will convey through the “redo” of our tiny balcony.

I will keep you updated of the next few weeks about our balcony makeover.  It will be simple, yet have a large impact on our living space.

I hope you have enjoyed these hand picked outdoor spaces and all the inspiration.  What ideas are YOU going to use for your outdoor space???

I would love for you to pin each picture, but please pin from the original source.  Thanks!

Looking forward to seeing your balcony transformation. I love the rustic window trim. On my “to do” list is building on a sun room, so I’ve been busy dreaming about the color scheme, etc. I, too, want light and airy.
