Pajamas and Pillows

January 10, 2014 By Meegan 2 Comments

Happy Friday!!  I am thrilled to be with you here today!  There is always something going on around here, and I am sure the same it for you, too.  Life keeps us busy, doesn’t it?  I took some time out this week to make some pajamas and pillows.  It was nice to sew again.  I really enjoy my Mother’s Day present from my Hubby.

Anyway…As you can see I like pillows.  They make me feel at home, and cozy.  How about you??

I made this pillow when I first starting changing our home from deep reds and golds to lighter whites and blues.  I still don’t even know why I chose this fabric.  Sometimes I just have brain freezes like that.

our bedroom

This is how our master bedroom looks on a regular basis.  I like to switch it up every now and then, though, as you can see here.

I went to Joann’s and looked at the fabric for about an hour.  I think it’s good to make time for yourself, don’t you??  I came home with fabric for a new pillows and some pajama bottoms for a couple of grand babies.

And this is what I came up with!!  I am LOVING my new pillow!  So much better for my color scheme of blues and greens.

I never buy a pillow form.  I like using the pillows I already have and switching out the covers.

And the pajamas…well-they are SO cute!!  These girlie bottoms just kill me with the little gathered ruffle at the bottom!!  I can hardly wait to see them on J.

I also made 4 new pillows for our bedroom.  I like the updated fabrics and the colors.  My Hubby likes orange, so I am trying to bring an orange in the mix for him.

I am planning on painting our bedroom in the VERY near future and these colors work work perfectly.  I also want to get a white comforter or duvet for a softer look.

The gray is a good neutral and is very trendy right now.  I have always liked gray, because it goes with anything.

Making pajamas and pillows are some of the easiest items to sew.  Straight lines.  No tricks or curves.

Are you going to be sewing any pajamas and pillows any time soon???

Thanks for joining me on this fabulous Friday.  I truly enjoy reading all of your comments.

Make it a great day!

Meegan
