My Friday Fave Pins #11

November 30, 2012 By Meegan 8 Comments

It’s Friday, Friday, Friday…

This week I had fun perusing through Pinterest.  Christmas/Winter decorations and food are everywhere.  Gotta love it!!  So, let’s get started!!

My first fave this week is:

is a sweater snowball wreath made by Barbara with The Everyday Home.  She shows a step by step tutorial on how to make the faux mercury ornaments and the “sweater balls”.  So cute, rustic and sharp.  Thanks Barbara!!

My next fave pin is from Courtney over with Sweet C’s Designs.

They are just right for everyone you know!!  Don’t you need one or two for your home??  I sure do!!  Looks SO good Courtney!!

Another fave is from Domestic Superhero…

Allyson shows a step by step tutorial on how she refreshed her dresser to a TV console.  Don’t you just love that yellow??  Wow!!  Great work Allyson!!

The colorful fave pin is from Amanda Jane Brown…

Amanda was inspired to make these from her childhood memories with  her Grandmother’s gumdrop trees at Christmas.  Amanda’s tutorial is perfect for a holiday craft day!!  I love how vibrant the colors are!

My last fave pin is from Jenn:

Jenn blogs on Clean & Scentsible.  She shows how simple it is to make outdoor Christmas decor for your porch.  Super quick and easy!!  Love the greenery and the sticks.  Thanks Jenn!

I am so excited to be able to share all of these projects with you this week.!  Amazing pins and amazing talent!! Be sure to let these ladies know I sent you.

Come by my blog tomorrow for a Christmas Tree Tour!!  Yahoo!!

Until then, I will catch ya later with Pinterest, Facebook, Hometalk, Google +, Stumble Upon, Bloglovin‘, and LinkedIn!!

Make it a fabulous Friday!!  Enjoy everything-even the annoying things.

My Friday Fave Pins

December 7, 2012 By Meegan 3 Comments

I just love sharing my Friday Fave Pins with you every week!!  Each pin is an inspiration to me.  I just love seeing the creativity and talent so many people have.  They all inspire me to do more!

First off I pinned Amy‘s Free Printables:

I think they are so fun and great for the Holidays!!  I actually am using them for our Christmas treats this year for our neighbors and friends.  Thanks Amy with Living Locurto!!

How could I resist sharing this pin from Laura??

She tells the story,”One day I was moving them around in the garage, and an idea struck.  They would make the perfect outdoor Christmas tree!”  Take a good look at Finding Home.  It will inspire and delight you.

How cute are these ornaments from Rachel??

Each ornament has just the right amount of ingredients for an amazing cup of hot chocolate.  And they are cute, too!!!  Rachel has the tutorial over on Bubbly Nature Creations.  Cute cute cute!!

My next fave pin is from Courtenay over at The Creek Line House:

I am loving these signs in her mudroom!!  The ladder and saw are pretty awesome too!!  Thanks Courtenay!!

And, now a pin for the kiddos in your life!!  This is from Kelly:

Eclectically Vintage is some place you will want to visit everyday.  Kelly is so talented!!  This is a perfect post for your “Elf on the Shelf”.   You will L-O-V-E her Christmas Home Tour!!  Be sure to tell her I sent you!!

Copy Cat Chandy

January 26, 2013 By Meegan 48 Comments

At Christmas I gave you a tour of our home and some tips on how to decorate under $3.  That’s what I did with my “copy cat” chandy in our bedroom…

I saw this from Oh So Shabby by Debbie:

Copy Cat Chandy

I mean-seriously this is so beautiful, right??  All of the greenery, extra ornaments, and I love the sticks, too.

My dear friend Judi gave me this chandelier last summer.  I know!!  She gave it to me!!  Such an awesome friend.  I could hardly wait to hang it in our bedroom.

Anyway, after being inspired with Debbie’s chandy, I knew I need to add something to my new “pretty”, too.

I just love me a gorgeous chandelier, don’t you??  And did you notice the matching candelabra?  Sweet!

I got to work on my copy cat chandy with a few items I already had.  I gathered everything together and tarted to “play” with my copy cat chandy.

Copy Cat Chandelier

I used tulle, glittered icicles, tree twigs, pearl strings, and greenery that was in my kitchen to make my own:

And, I like it so much, I think I will keep it up all year long!!  I can’t even think of taking it all apart.  I just love this look, don’t you?

The added embellishments are not permanent, so I can add to or change it up any time I want.

So, for zero cost I decked out  my chandy.  All it took was a little imagination and creativity!!

Don’t you just love being able to being some added *bling* to your own pretties every once in awhile??  I sure do!!

Thanks for visiting today!!  I smile when I know you have been by for a visit!!  Come back again soon…

June 3, 2013 By Meegan 4 Comments

I’ve got the Monday Blues-Sofa Style.  I have the blues every Monday.  And I never thought I would like a blue sofa.  I have always wanted white.  But after seeing these beauties, who could resist a blue sofa??  Not me apparently!  Probably you, too.  After you see these lovely blue sofas, I bet you will want one, too.

Let’s take a tour and see what I have found:

Sadie and Daisie

bl5d3892c21f46ff3699b9736e4c5ebdf1Another very simple lines sofa with skinny legs.  I like the sofa fabric texture, the green striped rug, and the white walls.  The shades balance this room.

Indulgy

Houzz

blu6683fe7df63a518d040c9e3980f6586eSo much to love about this.  Maybe because it is opposite of what I have.  I have a gold sofa with blue pillows-this gets the creative juices flowing for sure!

The Velvet Fantastic

blucfee1b9589760724a31eb19489cddb93Gorgeous blue sofa with black and white accents.  I like alot.

My Ikat Love

blu3b534181058ece6f3ebe69b99d207f32The mixture of testures works so well here.  The blue is almost unexpected but adds balance and softness.  I am diggin’ the tacks that line the sofa.

Urban Orchard Interiors

blu65fd6c37476b9c7979d4fb4177c00c44Okay, I must admit, when I saw this I am sure my heart skipped a beat.  The blue underneath the window, white walls, along with the textured, simple rug-love it!

Well, there you have it.  I’ve got the Monday Blues-sofa style.  Which one did you like best?  As you can tell, I like every. single. one. of.  them.  I have become a fan of tufting.  And the simple lines a dramatic sofa can have with a bold color.
