My last post was all about my word of the year for 2014-REACH. This year I have chosen my focus word to be “simplify”.
I thought long and hard about what I wanted my focus to be for 2015. This seemed to be exactly what I need right now in my life.
simplify. I could apply this in so many aspects of my life. From my home, to organization, to exercise, blogging, my thought process, etc…
The possibilities are endless.
I am the kind of person that over thinks EVERYTHING. From what I should wear to church, to buying birthday gifts, and even daily goals.
Sometimes it can consume me if I let it.
That is where simplify comes into play.
I don’t need to waste time or energy on the things that don’t really matter. I need to simplify my life in many areas.
And, when it comes to blogging, I need to relax. I need to sit back and enjoy the ride. I want to enjoy what I do here. I want YOU to enjoy it, more!
This year my blog will be focusing on the small and simple things in life that make us happy, simple, and be creative. There will still be lots of DIY, design ideas, crafts, etc… I guess the difference will be MY attitude. I will be focusing on simplifying how I blog, my organization skills, and what YOU want to see from me as the author of What Meegan Makes.
Hopefully by doing so, YOU will see a difference and an improvement.
I look forward to using simplify as my focus word this year. I know as I used REACH last year, I concentrated and thought about it all the time. It helped me so much.
What focus word are you concentrating on for 2015?
I hope you will leave a comment and let me know. I am always curious about how other people’s minds think and create.
Make it a fabulous Friday!

Meegan ~ I like you word for the year…simplify. It fits me too. It’s funny how something can be a gift and a curse at the same time. My wish to do things in the best way possible leads to my overthinking them too. For me, finding the balance is the trick. Happy 2015!
