Easy 4th of July Buffet

June 10, 2014 By Meegan 31 Comments

It’s the Second day of our Red, White and Blue Inspiration tour.  It’s my lucky day to share with YOU an Easy 4th of July Buffet.  I hope you are joining the 16 bloggers that are sharing their best Red, White and Blue Inspiration everyday this week.  I am featuring my Easy 4th of July Buffet.

The full schedule is right here.

Don’t miss out on some amazing and creative crafts and ideas for YOUR 4th of July celebrations.

Red White and Blue Inspiration

I am a great fan of July 4th and ALL the festivities that go along with that special day.  I love to host a fun-filled party, don’t you?

I like to create an Easy 4th of July Buffet for my guests and visitors.

It’s fun to make an Easy 4th of July Buffet using some of my traditional red, white and blue holiday decor.

I pulled out all of the red, white and blue I could find. Then got to work on layering an Easy 4th of July Buffet.

Easy 4th of July Buffet

First off, my table cloth was made by my MIL as a birthday gift one year.  I LOVE the flags and the star wreaths, with the vintage colors of red, white and blue.  Perfect for my Easy 4th of July Buffet.

The cloth napkins are hand embroidered. I like using cloth napkins for special occasions.  They make it feel even MORE special.

Easy 4th of July Buffet

Sparklers are a MUST for the 4th, don’t you think???  How fun are the red and white striped straws???  Tying the jar with navy blue polka dot fabric adds more color and texture for my buffet.

Easy 4th of July Buffet

Adding a little red with with raspberries and red polka dot fabric tied to a clear pitcher, makes some beautiful eye candy.

Easy 4th of July Buffet

Aren’t these red and blue blocks an ideal way to add a patriotic look???  The tied jute is a classic fresh look. They are one of my fave 4th of July pieces.

Easy 4th of July Buffet

Making a few pinwheels as favors was so quick and easy.  AND, they really work, too!  I will share that tutorial later this week. Easy Peasy.

My 4th of July Wreath needed an appearance on the Easy 4th of July Buffet, as well.

Using an American flag tray, I layered my plates and utensils.  The red plates are from Target and the jars are leftover pickle and mason jars.  Just the right touch.

I like using scraps of red rick-rack and tiny pom poms tied around the jars.  It says “festive” to me.

Easy 4th of July Buffet

I couldn’t leave out the vintage salt and pepper shakers I found while I was in Oregon.

It has been fun to prepare for our guests for the holiday.  I know you will have a great time making your own .Easy 4th of July Buffet, too.

I love your patriotic buffet. Your vintage touches are just the look I like. Using rick rack and pom poms to decorate jars is such a cute idea. I need to remember that for the 4th!

The flag table cloth from you MIL must truly be a treasure. It’s beautiful, and it really sets the scene for your personal 4th of July style, Meegan. All of your vintage touches and they way you mixed and matched what you have already makes it all look so unique. It’s got me thinking that if I look around, I might have everything I need to pull together a buffet setting without having to run out and buy out the 4th of July isle at the store. Love your inspiration ~ Amy

it looks so festive, Meegan. I love those cobalt salt and pepper shakers! Your pinwheels are so cute, and the wreath is a perfect backdrop for your buffet. Yes, sparklers have to be included in a 4th of July celebration, and what a clever idea to make them part of your buffet décor. laurie
