Hey everyone! How is your week going? Mine has been relatively quiet. I have been doing some Spring cleaning and trying get our home organized after Winter weather. AND, while I was Spring cleaning I found my Grandma’s crystal vintage salt and pepper shakers. Then it hit me-why don’t I make Vintage Salt and Pepper Shaker Vases!
Believe it or not, I needed to give my vintage crystal salt and pepper shakers a good cleaning. I don’t think they have been used since Christmas about five years ago. OR even before we moved into this condo. Either way, they needed to be clean. Especially if I was going to place real flowers in them.
I could hardly wait to buy some flowers. I went to the super market for the best deal. They always have a bucket full of marked down flowers (I love when that happens, don’t you?)
I found some pretty daisy mums for just a few dollars. They are just the right size for my “vases”.
Using my thrifted silver tray was a beautiful addition for this vignette and my Vintage Salt and Pepper Shaker Vases. The patina on the tray was the optimal way to highlight the salt and pepper shakers.
I love this innovative way to use my vintage pieces form my grandmas. I can hear her say, “Oh, what do you know? I really like that sugar pie.”
As you know, I like to create or re-create something out of what I already have. Having something like Vintage Salt and Pepper Shaker Vases is not only beautiful, but a great reminder of past family gatherings and wonderful memories. AND a charming centerpiece any time of year.
So what do you think? Are you going to look through your cupboards? Maybe you can make your own Vintage Salt and Pepper Shaker Vases, too. If you do, please share a picture with me. I would love to see your creativity.
Thanks for stopping by. You are always a highlight in my day.
