I’ve Got The Monday Blues For A Little Christmas Shelf

December 2, 2013 By Meegan 2 Comments

[slideshow_deploy id=’5749′]

I’ve Got The Monday Blues For A Little Christmas Shelf and I am excited to share it with you today!  You KNOW that I LOVE blue, right?  I have a shelf that I thrifted, refreshed and now it hangs in our “office”.  I decided to add a little Christmas cheer by adding a few things I already own.

You may also know how much I like to use empty frames to decorate our home.  This shelf is no exception.  Staggering 4 of my favorite frames I began to set up my shelf.

I've Got The Monday Blues For a Little Christmas ShelfI bought tiny birdhouses at Jo-Ann and painted them with some of my favorite blues and whites last year.  While the paint was still wet, I sprinkled iridescent glitter on each one.  SO EASY!

I made the light blue tulle wreath for our son’s wedding from an embroidery hoop.  EASY!!  I found the “let it snow” sign in the dollar section at Target.  (Gotta love the dollar section, right?)

I've Got The Monday Blues For a Little Christmas ShelfI also made the small blue/green frame with the flower.  I found the brooch at Hobby Lobby.  I enjoy using this frame all year long.  I really like the addition of the glitter and how each birdhouse shimmers in the light.

And one last look at my Little Christmas Shelf.  While I am working on blog posts, I can look up and it makes me smile to see a little Christmas Cheer.

What do you have in your office for some Christmas Cheer?

I’ve Got The Monday Blues For A Little Christmas Shelf, do you, too???

Thanks for stopping by today and making my day a little brighter…

$8 Thrifted Chandy Makeover

November 12, 2013 By Meegan 27 Comments

Happy Tuesday! I am so excited to be here today. There is so much going on with the Holidays coming up and decorating, wrapping presents, family visiting, etc… BUT, I am happy to be sharing my $8 Thrifted Chandy Makeover today.  Seriously, I might even be a LITTLE obsessed with this!

So, here is the story and the makeover.  You will be amazed at this transformation!  I know, I was…

$8 Thrifted Chandy Makeover
One day out thrifting, I found these 2 beauties. They were each $8 a piece.

Thrifted “Bathroom” Door

November 6, 2013 By Meegan 4 Comments

I have been wanting to show you this thrifted beauty of a “bathroom” door for sometime now.  I almost have our master bathroom done, so I figured this is a good time to show you THE “bathroom” door.  You are gonna love her!!

You KNOW how I love to shop thrift stores, right??  Well, I kept telling my Hubby I wanted a door for the bathroom.  He was so confused, because the master bathroom DOES have a door.

Thrifted "Bathroom" Door
I finally found this beauty, back in June.  She was sitting in the back of the thrift store just waiting for me to buy her.
Thrifted "Bathroom" Door
I know, for $20 how could I pass her up, right???  She was just what I wanted for the bathroom.  With a little clean up and some paint, she would fit perfectly in the bathroom.

 Thrifted "Bathroom" Door

Isn’t she amazing??  She fits right along with my beach striped hamper!!

That’s why I needed a “bathroom” door.  Not to open and close, but just to sit and look pretty.

Thrifted "Bathroom" Door
Using Antique Coral from Valspar, I painted the panels and frame of the door.  The routed frame is painted with a flat white.  (If you remember, I have also used the same Antique Coral to paint my thrifted table and chairs)
Thrifted "Bathroom" Door
The door knob is actually a purchase from Hobby Lobby.  Doesn’t she fit just perfectly in our master bathroom?  She doesn’t need to be hung or even need hinges.  She looks amazing just leaning against the wall, next to the hamper.
I knew you would like my thrifted “bathroom” door as much as I do.  Do you have a random door in your house, too??  Tell me about it!!
