Recently I have been working on our master bathroom. It has been looking a little boring, so it needed some refreshing. I am happy to report she is almost done.
One of the final touches is this DIY Beach Striped Hamper.
It looks pretty good, right? Hubby’s favorite color is orange, so I compromised and used an Antique Coral.
I am trying to bring a few masculine areas into our home. And, the bedroom and bathroom are 2 of the rooms that have needed that touch. I started out by making a Stenciled and framed Book Page Quote. This is a quote Hubby has said to me for years. Visit the post for all the details.
After making the quote, using the same colors (antique coral from Valspar and flat white) I gave my Bathroom Tray a Beach Stripe Makeover.
Now onto one of the last projects for the bathroom. We have had this hamper for ages. Honestly, I can’t even remember when we bought it.
It definitely has seen better days. BUT, I do like a rustic look, and since I have been changing everything else, why not change the hamper, too.
Using the same idea that I had used previously on the bathroom tray, I got to work. It literally took me just a few minutes to finish my DIY Beach Striped Hamper. I decided I didn’t want the stripes to be the same width. So, do you know what I did? I followed the lines on the hamper weaving! How EASY PEASY is that?
Now the bathroom and bedroom are coming together with a little more masculinity with my DIY Beach Striped Hamper. And, adding another color with my whites and blues brings balance and variety.
What are some of your DIY projects lately? I would love to hear all about them.
Thanks for joining me today!
Make it a terrific Tuesday!
