Do You Have A Laundry Closet??

March 27, 2013 By Meegan 21 Comments

A lot of you have a laundry room.  I think that is so awesome.  But, for me I have a laundry “closet”.  Do you have a laundry closet, too??

I thought since I have to do laundry in a “closet”, I might as well like it.  Good idea, right??

Do You Have A Laundry Closet??

I truly love these doors.  You would be surprised at how much sound they block out.  The doors look so happy with a wall pocket full off pink flowers in hopes of an early Spring.

When I organized my laundry “closet”  I found empty boxes and covered them with fabric.  For labels I used my cardboard chalkboards.

The box is a great spot for stain remover, extra detergent and fabric softener.

I made these mod podge birdies when I had first started a blog.  I mod podged vintage book pages on 2-8×10 canvases.  Then using a stencil, added my birdies.  They fit perfectly here, don’t they??

Here is another view of the “closet”.  I love the added touch of the candlesticks and the vintage scrapbook paper banner.  The dryer is covered with a doily made by my grandma.  It keeps the dryer from being scratched when I set a laundry basket or other things on top of it.

This makes me smile every time I open the doors.  Even if I am doing laundry.

Do you have a laundry closet?  Have you made it a place that makes you smile?  I would love to hear about it.

Thanks for letting me share what I love to do.  I am so glad you stopped by today!

Make it a wonderful Wednesday!

My Visit to The Floral Market With a Few Floral Tips

March 16, 2013 By Meegan 11 Comments

On Thursday, my cute friend Barbara and I ventured to the Floral Market.  From that visit I thought I would share my visit to the floral market with a few floral tips. Barbara is hosting an outdoor bridal shower today and wanted fresh flowers for her tablescapes and centerpieces.  I can never resist a visit to the floral market and Spring blossoms, so off we went!

*This blog post was updated October 2025.

A tip for floral market newbies: You will be walking into a refrigerator.  A refrigerator so cold you will need a coat.  Really, you will.  It is c-o-l-d where the flowers are stored. As we walked in, these lovely roses caught our eye.
