Back To School Folder Covered With Duck Tape®

August 15, 2013 By Meegan 4 Comments

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Walmart for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

I am so excited for school to start!  So many of our grandkiddos are starting school next week.  One thing on my list was Duck Tape® .  I know, that might be a weird item to be on this grandma’s list, but…
Just in case you didn’t know all the amazing things you can do with Duck Tape®, listen up! You can use Duck Tape® to create, embellish and decorate! You can make things for teachers as welcome gifts! You can make a custom name plate for your children’s desk or classroom cubby. Older students can cover their books in paper bags and embellish/decorate/customize with Duck Tape®! Or maybe a customized Duck Tape® mirror for the middle schoolers locker?
Can’t you just hear and feel the bustle of back to school when you visit Walmart?  I visited my local Walmart yesterday, because I wanted to make something special for one of the grandkiddos.  Not only did I see amazing prices everywhere, but look what I found!

Yep, you got it-buy Duck Tape® at Walmart! Not just the typical silver Duck Tape® , every color and pattern that you could ever want or need! This was right near the painting aisle. I spent several minutes just browsing through all of it.

Once I was done looking there, the Walmart associate showed me ANOTHER Duck Tape® display over by the crafts!!

The creative juices started flowing, and I knew what I wanted to make for the grand kiddos for back to school!

I bought a paper binder with brads and pockets and my favorite Duck Tape® for a certain 7th grade grandson. He is on Student Council and needs to stay organized. The spattered paint Duck Tape® will be perfect for him! Gotta love Duck Tape®!

I started by covering the folder with strips of Duck Tape® . I layered them just a little, so the folder wouldn’t show through.

I covered the folder using my strips of durable and strong Duck Tape® .

I made sure to cover the pockets as well. To keep it durable and long lasting throughout his time on Student Council this year.

Using Duck Tape® there is NO WAY this folder will fall apart, rip, or tear!

It is the best thing ever for covering this folder, making wallets, creating flowers, or even repairing a down jacket!! (Shhh..don’t tell Hubby I told you that he fixed his jacket with Duck Tape®)

So next time you run in for a gallon of milk or a loaf of bread, head on over and buy Duck Tape at Walmart too! Keep it on your shopping list-you never know what you might come up with! Maybe even a Back to School Folder Covered with Duck Tape®

Thanks for joining while I made a Back To School Folder Covered With Duck Tape®!

Happy Back To School!!
