Chocolate Peanut Butter Marshmallow Treat

December 15, 2012 By Meegan Leave a Comment

I thought today I would share a family favorite treat with you.  If you like chocolate, peanut butter and marshmallows-you will LOVE this!  And it’s easy peasy to make!!

You will need:
1 package chocolate chips (any flavor you like-milk, semisweet, dark)  You can also use 12 oz. chocolate almond bark.
1 package marshmallows
1/2 cup peanut butter
wax paper
Pour the package of chocolate chips in a microwavable bowl.  In 15 second increments gradually melt your chocolate.  If you melt  the chocolate all at once, it tends to turn dry and clumpy.  So be patient.  Heat for 15 seconds, stir, and repeat until it’s smooth and creamy.
Add 1/2 cup peanut butter-smooth or chunky.
Stir peanut butter with chocolate until smooth.
Fold in marshmallows until completely covered with the chocolate peanut butter mixture.
Spread your yummy treat on wax paper and let cool.  Cut into pieces or just tear it off as you eat it.  I have poured it into a butter 8×8 pan in the past, but I now like this way better.  It looks a little more rustic and fun.

I hope you try it soon!  It truly is a big hit with our family.  I know it will be with yours too.  It is also great for gift giving!!
