Dollar Store Halloween Crafts

October 6, 2017 By Meegan 1 Comment

Hi everyone. It has been awhile since I have blogged on a regular basis. I am hoping that will change in the near future.  Many of you know that I have lots of grand-kiddos. When it comes to holidays like Halloween, it can become quite expensive if we are buying each kiddo a gift.  That is why I am famous for Dollar Store Halloween Crafts. It can be creative, and a fun way to give each grand-kiddo a gift.

Today I have joined the Spooktacular Dollar Store Halloween Crafts Blog Hop hosted by The Everyday Home & Barb Garrett. I hope you will visit each one linked up below. There are SO many ideas for Halloween. AND for a reasonable price.

Let me show you what I make for Dollar Store Halloween Crafts…

Last Saturday, I had 5 minutes (literally) to run into the Dollar Store and pick out a few Halloween crafts. I came out with garland, pom poms and sequin ribbon.

Once I got home, I pulled out my hot glue gun, craft paint, a couple of empty jam jars, the jam jar lids and chip board letters. I wasn’t exactly sure what I was going to do, but I got to work and let the creative juices run wild.

First of all, I hot glued the sequin ribbon to one of the jars. I filled it with candy and a couple of the left over pom poms. The black poms kinda looked like spiders to me. I liked that. And I knew the kids would, too.

The next jam jar was decorated with the garland. Again filled with candy. I love the glitter on this one.

For fun I added a green painted monogram to the purple sequin ribbon. THEN, I thought, “Why not paint the lid orange?” AND and tiny black and orange poms to the lid.”  AND, I loved it!  I mean, how cute is that!

For variety, I wrapped a whole jar with orange sequin ribbon. I wrapped this jar three times.

I thought this would look great at night with a tea candle twinkling through.

THEN, it hit me. What if you don’t want or need a Halloween gift? What if you just need a touch of Halloween in your home. Or you are having a small Halloween get-together on Halloween evening.

Why not turn your jam jars into Halloween vases?

I bought grocery store flowers and I was set for an intimate Halloween gathering for friends.

Creating Dollar Store Halloween Crafts are inexpensive and can be made with just a few supplies you already have at home.
