Garden Patio at The Ranch

April 23, 2014 By Meegan 10 Comments

Happy Wednesday!!  Yay!!  I am home from visiting and helping my mom.  I say, Yay for a couple of reasons.  One, my mom is on her way to a full recovery from her hip replacement.  Two, I drove home safely.  Three, I am home with Hubby! Over the course of 2 months, I have been gone for 30 days, so it is nice to be home.  Four, I get to share one of MY favorite places at my mom’s home.  The Garden Patio at The Ranch.  Yay!

Are you ready to see her talented green thumb and style?  I REALLY think you will like it.

Her home is nestled in the hills.  The Garden Patio at The Ranch is comforting and inviting.

As you walk down from the horse stables toward the house, you are welcomed by the Garden Patio at The Ranch.

This area is pergola style, with the outside of her family room chimney as a warm cozy feel.   I could sit in the chairs for hours listening to the birds sing and smelling the blossoms on the peach tree.

My eyes were immediately drawn towards the potting bench filled with potted plants and accessories.

This is a great picture to show her talent of growing plants of all kinds.  I did NOT inherit that from her.  Boo!  BUT, she actually did teach me how to care for succulents.  And I am pretty good at that.  (sometimes)

One of my little jobs while I was helping her, was to water the plants.  I hope I didn’t kill any. (smile)

Aren’t the terra cotta creatures cute?  I remember my mom purchasing them when I still lived at home.  And the spheres!  Oh, how I love those spheres.

On the other side of the chimney are more plants and accessories.

I thought you would really be inspired from seeing my mom’s Garden Patio at The Ranch.

Mom never got out here, BUT we did sit in her sunroom, and soak up some rays.

Isn’t the  Garden Patio at The Ranch a warm and inviting area?  Do YOU have a place like this at your home?

Thanks for visiting my blog today!  I LOVE having you here.  I hope you were inspired to create your own Garden Patio.

Make it a wonderful Wednesday!

What a lovely area your mom has and I know she loves it very much. It’s such a great place to sit and have a cup of tea or glass of wine or just read.
So glad that she is doing well. Have a wonderful week back at home.

A potting bench is next on my “want” list. I love how she repurposed a vintage cupboard for hers.

That’s great that your mom is on the mend and you made it home safely! The patio looks like a very relaxing place. I am fairly new in my house and am still working on creating my own “oasis”, but will definitely take some ideas from her patio!
