Recently there have been a lot of Christmas/Sea Shell/Sea Glass crafts here on the blog. It’s fun to share ALL these unique and creative ideas.
Today I will be sharing a tutorial for making a Handmade Sea Shell Garland. It’s SO easy!

Whether you are using your own seashell collection, or purchasing shells, it’s going to be amazing. Because YOU will like it.
The Components for a Handmade Sea Shell Garland:
1 Yard-Jute Twine or Cotton String-whichever you prefer
8 Seashells of your choice

Gather your collected sea shells, jute twine, scissors, hot glue gun and hot glue stick.

Cut the length of your jute twine to whatever fits your need best. I used 1 yard. Measure the space between each shell before you adhere them with the hot glue.
My shells are approximately 4 1/2 inches apart.
One at a time, carefully add hot glue to the top “rim” of each shell.
While the glue is still warm, place the jute twine on the shell. Be careful not to burn yourself.

There is no reason to measure the distance between each shell-unless you want that look or style. This is YOUR Sea Shell Garland. Whatever you choose will be amazing!

As you can see the shell garland looks great with the mini paper napkin pennant, DIY beach sand bottle ornaments and the air dry clay ornaments.

I hope you can make a Handmade Sea Shell Garland soon. It will be darling hanging on a beach style Christmas tree, draped on a mantel, as a gift, tied around a gift or even layered on a tablescape.
Have fun and make it a great day!
