Late Summer Tablescape in Pink

August 13, 2021 By Meegan 28 Comments

After finding a beautiful pitcher and glasses at a Texas antique store, I KNEW I needed to design a Late Summer Tablescape in Pink.

This has become one of my favorite tablescape ideas. The antique glass with lovely pink and yellow flowers are the stars of the table.

This post is in collaboration with the Thrifty Style Team organized by Julie at Redhead Can Decorate. The bloggers participating have some of the best thrifty ideas around! I will be listing their link for this months blog posts at the end of this post.

This Summer we made an unexpected trip across the US from Laurel, Maryland to Albuquerque, New Mexico. (I’ll tell you more about the trip later) But, along the way we stopped in the small town of Cisco, Texas.

One of the first things we spotted was this lovely antique hand painted set of 4 glasses and pitcher. Oh my! They are stunning with so many details.

They were the perfect start to set a Summer table.

We browsed around the store and couldn’t leave without this set among a few other things. Including a set of 6 pink wine glasses that I couldn’t resist. (Again, I will be sharing those in one of my upcoming posts)

Right outside my living room window is a beautiful yellow and pink Lantana bush filled with blossoms. They make a lovely background for this Summer inspired table.

With a fresh bottle of limeade and lime wedges, I added another design element this late Summer table.

The antique glasses and pitcher are highlighted by my set of  my vintage Desert Rose dishes. Everything came to fall into place without even trying too hard.

I just love how everything has fallen together without intention or foreseen plan.

With other greenery around our cottage apartment I was able to “fill-in” the table with a fresh feel.

Adding a small canvas with an inspirational message is always a fun way to create a relaxing atmosphere.

I hope you have enjoyed my ideas for a Late Summer Tablescape in Pink. It was a fun project using what I have and my antique finds.

I am glad that you have stopped by today. It’s time to grab your favorite drink, sit back and enjoy the 15 Affordable Home Decorating Ideas from the Thrifty Style Team.

Your pink summer tablescape is gorgeous, Meegan. I especially love your desert roses dishes – so pretty. I couldn’t help notice the small sage bundle and abalone shell. It caught my eye because I often burn sage in our home.

Perfect dishes for a summer tablescape. My friend, who died a long time ago, used to have those Desert Rose dishes, I recall.

I have these Dessert Rose dishes at least service for 12… cookie jar, pitcher,
tea pot, and every extra piece you could ask for. Dishes started with set of 6 from my aunt and i kept adding to it. I just love then and your tablescape looks great.
