My Visit To Oregon In a Nutshell

June 19, 2013 By Meegan 2 Comments

I was able to visit our daughter and her family ling in Oregon a few weeks ago.  I thought you might like to see my visit to Oregon in a nutshell…

Have you ever been to Oregon?  From what I hear, it rains all the time.  I brought some sun with me and it only sprinkled my last day.  All the other days, it was in the 80s so I was right at home.

My Visit To Oregon In a NutshellEverywhere is SO green and blooming gorgeous flowers.  This is our daughter’s front yard.  (I must admit, I am a little jealous)

My Visit To Oregon In a NutshellThis picture is at the park less than a block away from her house.

My Visit To Oregon In a NutshellOn a walk one morning, I came across this rose garden.  It is dedicated to one of the local men that has contributed much to their town.  (More pictures of the rose garden on Friday)

My Visit To Oregon In a NutshellMy daughters all know what I like and so when I visit them, they take me to various places they know I will like.  This is the widest, shortest river.  It is in Lincoln City, near the ocean.  Can you imagine being able to have a home on a river across from the ocean??  I would be in heaven.

My Visit To Oregon In a NutshellWhile I was in Oregon I met up with my blogging friend, Sherry.  She writes on Pondered Primed Perfected.  We met up for sushi and she brought me a gift!!  Seriously, one of the sweetest women I have ever met.

My Visit To Oregon In a NutshellYou can read how to make your own Beach Inspired Terrarium on Sherry’s Blog, Pondered Primed Perfected.

My Visit To Oregon In a NutshellWe ate at a very quaint sushi restaurant near by.  We had a wonderful visit for hours getting to know each other, talking about life, and sharing our love of blogging.  It was definitely a highlight of my visit to Oregon.  (This pic was taken with my phone-sorry)

My Visit To Oregon In a NutshellBesides seeing the grandkiddos, this was THE best!!  The ocean is my refuge, my calm place in my mind and heart.  So when my daughter took me there, I was awestruck.  It was a beautiful, sunny day on the beach.  Very windy, but sunny, none the less.  We ordered food from Jay’s and ate at the beach.  The best halibut fish and chips I have ever had.  Melt in your mouth crispy, fresh fish.  (No pics-we ate it too fast)

My Visit To Oregon In a NutshellCan you believe the clear blue sky and water??

That’s my visit to Oregon in a nutshell.  These were a few the highlights and my favorite scenes of the week-of course other than the grandkiddos.

Thanks for joining me on my visit to Oregon.  If you haven’t been there-this is the perfect time of year to go.  For Field Trip Friday I will take you to the rose garden and the peony farm.  So fun!

Thanks for joining me today.
