I don’t know about you, but I am still in the midst of making Christmas ornaments and presents. I have fun giving our family Christmas decorations as a gift. Then their homes are full of Christmas . This Popcicle Stick Christmas Tree is easy and a perfect gift.
I had so much fun working on this. It was REALLY easy and looks amazing with other Christmas decor.
Make your own Popsicle Christmas Tree under $2…
I started out by breaking my craft sticks in half. I liked the jagged edges as the layers for the tree.
Using an 8 inch styrofoam cone, and a hot glue gun with hot glue sticks I began to create layers. Beginning at the bottom, leaving an overhang of about half an inch at the bottom. (Look closely at the bottom in this picture and you will see the overhang) You could make your layers closer together, if you like. Whatever is your preference, works. Just have fun. Perfection is not necessary.
When I reached the top of the cone, I had to be a little more creative. I carefully and strategically placed the Popsicle sticks, so the tree wouldn’t look lopsided.
When the tree was completely formed, I used silver spray paint to create some shine for my Popsicle Christmas tree.
Using a pecan for the tree topper, I was finished. This is a great idea to use as a gift and/or your own decor. Can you imagine a whole shelf or mantel full of them? I know, me too!
I am excited to hear if you make your own Popsicle Stick Christmas Tree! Leave a comment and let me know if and when you do…
