Snowflake Trio Topiaries

December 18, 2014 By Meegan 2 Comments

Here we are ONE WEEK from Christmas!  Are you ready?  Are you having guests over?  Do you need a small gift for a special friend or neighbor?  Do you need a simple centerpiece for your Christmas table?  Try making my Snowflake Trio Topiaries.

This is a fun craft for any home.  You could use them altogether or even give them as separate gifts.

snowflake components

This is what you will need:

3 bamboo skewers, cut 3 different sizes

silver pipe cleaners

3 terracotta pots

tinsel garland

floral foam

hot glue

3 various snowflake ornaments

snowflake instructions

To start with, I wrapped 3 skewers with the silver pipe cleaners.  It takes about 3 pipe cleaners per skewer, depending on the size you want.

snowflake directions

I painted my terra cotta pots with the same silver metallic paint, I used here and here.

When they were still a little wet, I wiped some of the paint off.  I wanted a worn, or used look. ( at least, not too new)

I cut my floral foam to fit tightly in my pot.

Then I was ready to add the pipe cleaner wrapper skewer.

The next step was to add the snowflake ornament with hot glue.

Snowflakes

To finalize the look, I hot glued a little tinsel garland around the base of the pot to cover the floral foam.

It added glimmery the look I wanted.

Aren’t these ideal as a centerpiece, or even as a wintery vignette?

I like the fact that each snowflake is different.

You CAN make them all the same if you wish.  BUT, I never like anything exact.  So this works for me and my style.

Snowflakes in Pots

I was REALLY excited to make these in about an hour. These Snowflake Trio Topiaries were so fun to create for our home.

It’s fun to create your own ideas and make them how you pictured them, isn’t it?

Make it an amazing day!
