Fall is the time when we start thinking about yummy comfort foods.  Some of them are savory and some are sweet. Today I am sharing a recipe for a sweet comfort food-“Chocolate Peanut Butter Marshmallow Treats”. This has long been a family fave.

No sooner do I pour it into a 8×8 dish, and it is gone! I am sure it will be the same for your family, as well.

Meegan’s Slow Cooker Turkey Chili

February 4, 2020 By Meegan 8 Comments

It has been years now that I have used ground turkey instead of beef. It can be a great way to save money with a large family.

Did you know that I have seven kids? To fill up all those bellies back then, I loved making my own slow cooker turkey chili. With so many spices to flavor the meat and beans, it is delish. So delicious in fact, that now my grandkids beg me to make it for them!

So, I bet you want the recipe right?  Well, you are in luck!  I would love to share it with you today.

Hello and Happy Monday.  Yay, I can share pictures again!  My blog is going through a few changes, so I hope you will be patient.  It is going to be better than ever.  I know it’s Monday and time for the Monday Blues.  Those are right here. *This post was updated October 2025.

BUT, I am so happy to be here today to share a family fave recipe-4 Ingredient Rice-a-Roni Meatballs.

This recipe is so yummy.  Perfect with pasta, rice, or even mashed potatoes.

4 Ingredient Meatballs

I found the recipe when I was a new mom looking for a filling and delicious meal for my young family.  I am a scratch cook, so I was a little leery at first to make this.  BUT, it was perfect for our family and has been ever since.

Toasted Almond Russian Tea Cakes

November 13, 2013 By Meegan 9 Comments

I am always baking cookies and pies for our family.  I LOVE baking for them.  BUT, THIS recipe for Toasted Almond Russian Tea Cakes is their ALL-Time favorite.

I know this recipe traditionally call for walnuts or pecans.  I am now allergic to both of those nuts.  So, I don’t purchase them very often. One Christmas baking season, I only had raw, sliced almonds. So, I thought I might as well give it a try. They have been the family fave ever since!!

Another thing about this cookie-I ONLY use REAL vanilla & butter. It makes all the difference in the flaky texture and buttery flavor.

I bet you want the recipe, right?
