Simple Winter Decor

January 22, 2015 By Meegan Leave a Comment

Happy Thursday, and welcome back to What Meegan Makes.  I am happy to be here for some  Simple Winter Decor.

I have to admit (and you have probably heard me say this before) BUT, Summer is my favorite season.

I also have to admit I love Winter almost (almost) as much.

Simple Winter Decor

Let me show you a few Simple Winter Decor vignettes.

Use a chalkboard filled with a Winter message.  There are TONS of sayings/quotes to chose from.  OR even make up your own, like Hubby did here for me.

Winter Slumber

A dried artichoke in a small urn is ideal for Winter decorations.

Don’t put away ALL of your snowflake Christmas ornaments.  Especially, the unique ones.

Winter

Display them in various areas in your home.  Pinecones are ALWAYS a great part of simple Winter decor.

I also use my pinecone garland from Fall clear through Winter.  It adds the outdoor, rustic feel I like about Winter.

Winter Crystals

Winter Cloche'

The crystals were purchased at a craft store in the wedding section.  Don’t they look amazing under the cloche?

Winter Wood PIle

Don’t laugh…  But I like to have a small stack of sticks in my home.  I move them around my home for each season.  The reason I say, “Don’t laugh” is because we don’t have a fireplace.

The stack of wood, reminds me of when we DID have a wood burning stove.

As I look at my pile of sticks I am reminded of Winter mornings cuddling with our kids next to a fire.

Winter Frames

What better time to use those empty frames you are not using.

Layer them and add a grapevine twig for interest.

If you are lucky enough to have some animal horns, bring them out!  Set them in a vignette in your living room. They are great conversational piece.  (I found mine at Main Street Collectors on a roadtrip to California)

A Celebration of Winter

The bottom line…Simple Winter Decor can be anything YOU like.  Some of it can be rustic, old, new, sparkly, white, whatever says “Winter” to you.

I hope you have been inspired today.  For more Winter Ideas click on the pictures below:
