Thrifty Decorating Ideas Using a Vintage Silver Tray

October 11, 2017 By Meegan 11 Comments

I love this time of month with my Thrifty Style Team friends. This month I am sharing Thrifty Decorating Ideas Using a Vintage Silver Tray. Easy peasy with a flair of silver.

I love when I find a great deal at the thrift store. I was looking for a silver tray to add to my silver collection, to go along with my silver champagne bucket and silver chalices. Low and behold, I found one.

And it was only $1. I love when that happens, don’t you?

Not only did I want a thrifted, silver tray to complete my collection but to use for decorating around our home.  I came up with a few Thrifty Decorating Ideas Using a Vintage Silver Tray.

Like you may have seen before, I have used my vintage silver tray to highlight my salt and pepper vases.

I think the vintage silver tray highlights the beauty of both the shakers and the flowers, don’t you?

Recently, I have used my vintage silver tray for dressing table organization. I have all of my perfumes from Paris, fragrant oils, and homemade Lavender linen water available within reach. Oh, and my favorite necklace available. It is nice to have them by my bedside and to know where each piece is without scouring the house, especially when I am in a hurry. Does that happen to you, too?

My vintage silver tray is also a lovely way to add texture and shine to my home decorating. With a rustic grapevine wreath, I have created a whole new look.

It is a great piece for Fall…

And, lovely for Christmas through Winter, too. I love the details around the edge and the tarnished areas.

Another way to create Thrifty Decorating Ideas Using a Vintage Silver Tray, is to fill it with sparkling lights, glittery ornaments and faux snow for a Wintry vignette.

These are just a few quick ideas that I have thought of. What other ideas do you have for a vintage silver tray?

Thanks for visiting me and making my day even brighter. I truly appreciate it.

Have fun while visiting the Thrifty Style Team ideas below. You will not be disappointed.

Such a beautiful tray and love how you style it. I have picked up a couple before and painted the center with chalkboard paint. There are always plenty at a thrift store.
