Since my husband and I are now empty-nesters, I thought I would use my creative juices to for Intimate Thanksgiving At Home Decorations.
Without using the typical orange, red and purple Fall colors, I opted for blues and greens for our Intimate Thanksgiving At Home Decorations.
Laying a cable knit throw blanket over large fluffy pillows was the first way to add a little ambiance to our Thanksgiving. Sitting on the floor in front of our farmhouse coffee table, is a comfy way to enjoy our luscious meal.
A simple addition for texture and color was to use embroidered cloth napkins. Each one was made by my grandmother. I like bringing in a touch of family memories to our table.
Adding to our Intimate Thanksgiving At Home Decorations, I gathered candles, light green charger, light blue dinner plate, white decorative dessert plate, and vintage styled flatware. Each piece adds personality and sets the tone for the tablescape.
The addition of eucalyptus leaves, gives a sense of bringing the outdoors in. The pumpkins were purchased orange. I used Fusion Mineral Paint to add the color I wanted.
The eucalyptus candles are probably my favorite piece on the table. (I will have a tutorial for those in tomorrow’s blog post.) You always need candles for an intimate meal, right?
With a few colorful mini lights, we have touches that are not necessary, but always worth the time and effort.
Two more of my DIY projects: a moss monogram and a chalkboard add our own personal touch to our Intimate Thanksgiving At Home Decorations.
While it will be quiet and not what we are used to-24 grand babies running around, plus 14 grown ups talking and reminiscing-it will be the perfect Thanksgiving for me and my man.
Intimate Thanksgiving At Home Decorations can be anything that fits your personality taste and style.

How fun and cute! I remember eating that way before kids. Before we know it, we’ll be empty nesters ourselves with the kids jet-setting all over the world so I’ll remember this intimate idea!

Oh Meegan, what a perfectly pretty little tablescape you put together. I am an empty nester like you and I love when family visits and I can still set a big and proper table! The colors you have chosen are such a refreshing change from traditional Fall colors. The gray-green eucalyptus leaves are the perfect addition to your setting. I am pinning this to my group tablescape board. If you would like to join it, just follow it and send me an email and I will add you. I would be honored if you would come by and share your tablescape at my link party, Celebrate Your Story!

Wow! Thanks you for all of your kind compliments Chloe. You are right, the best time to set a table is when everyone is together.
I look forward to getting to “know” you better.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
