I have been thinking about this DIY Book Page Waste Basket for months now. I have been wanting to make it for awhile now. I finally got around to it. And, I am loving the results! It was easy and didn’t even take me too long.
Here are all the details how I made my DIY Book Page Waste Basket…
I gathered my components which are: a plastic waste basket, dictionary book pages, washable mod podge, a botanical cut out and a good soft bristle brush.
After brushing on the mod podge, I carefully placed the dictionary pages on the plastic waste basket. Trying to keep them smooth, I brushed mod podge over the pages, without tearing them.
To cover the bottom and top edges, I tore smaller book page pieces to fill in all around the waste basket.
Now the book pages were ready for the botanical cut out. As you can see in the picture, I covered the whole waste basket with thick layers of mod podge.
And…Here it is! It looks pretty doesn’t it? This DIY Book Page Waste Basket can go in the office, bathroom, kitchen, laundry room, or even the living room.
My DIY Book Page Waste Basket was easy, fun and it looks pretty enough for guests to see. To make your own, you could use wrapping paper, scrapbook paper, or any paper you like.
I just happen to LOVE book pages, so this is just right for me. I would love for you to make one soon with your own style and taste and let me know all about it.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today. I really have so much fun with you here. I am honored.
Make it a terrific Tuesday…
