Welcome! I don’t know about you, but I love to look through antique stores and thrift shops! One of my blogging friends LOVES to do that as well. Donna from Funky Junk Interiors was visiting Las Vegas for the first time, so we had some fun. We spent the morning at the Neon Museum and then headed out to Hoover dam and then for a little shopping in Boulder City, NV. I was excited to show Donna some of my favorite shops. So we went Shopping for Antiques in Boulder City NV.
I mean, look at all the loveliness! Lots of vintage items and some rust. Perfect for Donna’s taste.
Each item has a story, a history to tell.
Yes, I want it all.
I actually remember riding the type of car on the bottom. It was at my grandparents house. I am pretty sure my brother and I fought over who could ride it first or the longest. (Smile) Great memories.
And the green and red car is another fond memory. Not the same colors, but the same metal car with pedals. And a steering wheel. How fun is that for a small child?
I like how the toys become planters, as well. The greenery accents to colors and the patina on each piece.
Do you like how the toys and plants are layered? I think it looks like a piece of art. The succulents are growing everywhere.
Even in the vintage wheel barrel. It made me kind of sad to see the wheel barrel.
I owned my grandpa’s for quite sometime. I grew flowers in it. I moved all around California and Nevada until we moved into this condo. There was not any room for it. I gave it to my neighbor that promised she would love it as much a s I did. I couldn’t ask for anymore than that. She now has it in her backyard filled with plants and flowers. It looks lovely.
Okay, back to my day. Donna and I grabbed something to eat and then happened upon an auction house. The auction was starting in 10 minutes. Donna grabbed us numbers and we stayed for awhile. It was fun to see what people’s interests were and what they would pay for certain items.
Then it was time to head home. We had a wonderful time visiting and getting to know each other even better.
By the end of the day we took some great pictures and enjoyed lots of sights. The only question I was left with was: What is this rusted tool with all the gears? Do you happen to know? I would love to know what YOU think it is.
Thanks for joining while I shared my day Shopping for Antiques in Boulder City NV.
And thank you Donna, for a wonderful day! It was my pleasure to be with you.
I don’t want you to miss out on my latest posts.

We used to live in Green Valley and I LOVED shopping in Boulder City. Desi Arnez and wife have the theatre up there. and I always went to the fabric/quilting shop next door. It is an awesome town…

It looks like some type of grinder maybe. Awesome gears though. Loving all those small cars! Too cute.
